It's concept art, but it's pretty close to what Harvey Dent will look like. I don't think it looks tacky, I think it looks awesome.

It's a concept, but pretty close to how it's actually gonna look in the movie. Warner Brothers went on a spree sending cease and desists to film sites that posted those up about 3 months ago so I guess that means its pretty legit. It's supposed to be an incredibly dark movie (but what can you expect from the title. LOL.) , I've heard it plays like an R-rated movie but somehow has a PG-13. My friends and I bought our IMAX tickets 3 weeks ago...can't wait.

By the way, too bad about Gotham Knight sucking, it looked like it had potential.

always behind schedule.

I dunno about any of you guys but I loved the Max Payne games, especially the new one. My mate just sent me a link to a trailer of the movie theyre making! I totally forgot about this/guessed the idea had died, but it looks pretty good!

Im not sure about mark wahlberg being cast as Payne, but it is kind of reassuring that he is such a big name in a world of cheap crappy games-to-movies starring The Rock...

what do ya reckon?

Ah, well now I feel like quite the wanker. If its a concept that explains it. My bad. Yeah, I know it's suposed to be dark, I think the reason I jumped on it being fake was because it reminded me so much of Mars Attacks :P

Anyways, about Gotham Knight...

There's 6 sequences, as you probably know. For the most part, they're all exceptional in terms of animation, it's just storyline that kinda bothered me. The first one namely, where it's a bunch of kids using 'street' talk, it just seemed kinda silly to me..."yo dawg, batman so cool and dis why"

I will admit, there are 2 really bad ass segments, one where he visits an Indian expert in pain management, and one where he goes against Deadshot.

I guess my problem was I just was underwhelmed by the whole thing, particularly with how little of a role Killer Croc and Scarecrow played. Not getting in to details, but each 'fight' was resolved in like a matter of 2 minutes, there was hardly build up. There was also this back element of mobsters feuding that never really seemed important, despite them constantly showing it... I understand this was supposed to be sort of an in between movie, but even so, I just feel like they didn't write strong enough material. I have a feeling Jeff(Johnny Utah) will review the DVD, as he's done that with at least 2 of the last DC movie releases.

Obviously don't take my word, by all means see it, I'm just saying as a Batman fan I was kind of disappointed. Also, no Joker at all. I mean, honestly.

Internet Outage
I had that problem with ZoneAlarm, but I didn't know what it was til now. I spent 10 mins poking around my computer's various settings when it happened before stumbling into the firewall security level options, where I turned it to medium and yay, internets for me! Knew my internet must have still been on, because my Wii and vista laptop both connected fine.

New Game Whoring
Do I feel bad about making 2 posts here in the last couple of months, one of them being a self promotion extravaganza? A little. Oh well, go play it anyway: BR's FreeFall

Comic Con
Are there any regs going to comic con in san diego? I know about Luis and AfroNinja, not sure I remember any of the rest of you mentioning it.

Flash Jobs
You might want to have a looksee at my latest userpage post if you live in the UK and might want a job in Flash programming or illustration/animation. The company I work at is looking for a few of each to hire full time, its actually a really awesome place to work, everyone's pretty young and fun to work with. Plus they put a massive tab behind a local bar every 4 weeks, so if you like free alcohol, you'll like it here :D

Yeah, the only IMax here in Rhode Island is at the Providence Place Mall, in the big city. I don't even know if they'll be a Midnight showing, since that'd entail having the whole mall be open. I ought to look into it though, it'd be worth it.

Either way, midnight next friday, I'm is seeing my some batmans

Hehe, I bet quite a few people are going to be offline for a while. The only thing I could find about it was on the internet, which anyone with the bug couldn't reach. There wasn't even a passing mention of it on the BBC News 24 hourly rotation so far as I could tell.

Wait, why would ZoneAlarm mess up for everyone simultaneously?

Was there an update sent to folk that didn't work properly?

There was a crippling, exploitable problem with the DNS structure of the net that someone stumbled onto in March. So he kept it to himself, rather than tell the black hat community, and approached the major names (like Microsoft, Sun and the firewall systems), and they clandestinely fixed the problem, and announced that they fixed it a few days ago (it was along the lines of DNS spoofing so that you could visit other sites with different web-headers in your address bar - handy for phishing)

If I remember correctly he only played a minor role in gish. Along the lines of a beta tester and probably gave edmund some suggestions considering his ties.

He's a cool guy though, he was the first "successful" author I made contacts with online.

lmao, totem destroyer is a pretty fun game, very much too short though, but it totally doesn't deserve 4th place in "best of all time".

perhaps "best of all time" should be renamed "most popular right now but will eventually sink into a 3.9 score unless it actually is one of the best of all time"

Agreed.

Was it totem destroyer that brought up the controversy with using physics engine etc? Nonetheless, I thought it was an awesome game and played it for ages.
