Hmm
I'm almost positive that has to be a fake. No way Nolan would use CG that tacky...
It's a concept, but pretty close to how it's actually gonna look in the movie. Warner Brothers went on a spree sending cease and desists to film sites that posted those up about 3 months ago so I guess that means its pretty legit. It's supposed to be an incredibly dark movie (but what can you expect from the title. LOL.) , I've heard it plays like an R-rated movie but somehow has a PG-13. My friends and I bought our IMAX tickets 3 weeks ago...can't wait.
By the way, too bad about Gotham Knight sucking, it looked like it had potential.
Ah, well now I feel like quite the wanker. If its a concept that explains it. My bad. Yeah, I know it's suposed to be dark, I think the reason I jumped on it being fake was because it reminded me so much of Mars Attacks :P
Anyways, about Gotham Knight...
There's 6 sequences, as you probably know. For the most part, they're all exceptional in terms of animation, it's just storyline that kinda bothered me. The first one namely, where it's a bunch of kids using 'street' talk, it just seemed kinda silly to me..."yo dawg, batman so cool and dis why"
I will admit, there are 2 really bad ass segments, one where he visits an Indian expert in pain management, and one where he goes against Deadshot.
I guess my problem was I just was underwhelmed by the whole thing, particularly with how little of a role Killer Croc and Scarecrow played. Not getting in to details, but each 'fight' was resolved in like a matter of 2 minutes, there was hardly build up. There was also this back element of mobsters feuding that never really seemed important, despite them constantly showing it... I understand this was supposed to be sort of an in between movie, but even so, I just feel like they didn't write strong enough material. I have a feeling Jeff(Johnny Utah) will review the DVD, as he's done that with at least 2 of the last DC movie releases.
Obviously don't take my word, by all means see it, I'm just saying as a Batman fan I was kind of disappointed. Also, no Joker at all. I mean, honestly.
