Game Ideas

It felt like that had been done before... But as many of you have said, a lot of concepts have been used and many games are just reconstructions of others. I may try to draw up some sprites and see if it looks good enough where I want to find a programmer and continue it.

The way I actually wanted to build the game is as you start out as a sperm in the urethra, where you have to make your way around small blocks and such. Then as you get to each stage in the game, (vagina, cervix, uterus, fallopian tube, and to the egg) each one becomes like a mini-game in itself. Similar to the style of Glaiel and BoM's Nuctracker game.

I don't know, I just think it'd be cool.

It was catchy due to its online play, but if you took it offline, you wouldn't really have NG's definitive racing game in your hands. I enjoyed it, but not for the reasons I mean when I say that NG doesn't really have a great racer yet.

There are original ideas still. It just might be more eccentric than is normal, but whatever if it's a new idea and it's fun. I was glad to see a game I worked on being called original by lots of people. Like others have mentioned about themselves, that's what I want to strive for. There's too much of the same shit.

I think it would take more than that to really be exciting. Right now it's just kinda dodge-left-right gameplay. Neat use of pseudo-3D, but a ways to go before it's more than a temporary distraction.

Why don't you just think of it from another perspective? Say for example instead of narrowing the perspective of the game to the adventures of 1 sperm, why don't you broaden it to a whole load. Or even better, loads. Two ideas aside from the traditional side-scroller, is a game where instead of leading 1 spearm, you lead a whole fleet. At the end of each level you have to maintain a certain sperm count and then you could have some sort of button sequence, mini-game type thing to get the sperm into the egg.

Another idea I had is similar, but imagine the pregnancy process as a war rather than a journey. And then you just take an RTS spin on it.

Stupid blindspots!

Didn't pass my motorbike test today, i had no faults and she told me i did everytihng perfectly for everything except that i wasn't checking my blindspots well enough when moving from stationary, i was fine checking them when moving, just not from stationary >.>
