Ummm....I wish more girls had this attitude.

@ Duder - Just stick with it, you'll get there, look at anyone's submission history and you'll see that improvement takes time.

You can edit that part/thingy? 0.0

Also, yeah... I could probably rank in more views/money, but the money don't matter really and I'm cool with sacrificing a few thousand views to keep The Duders on NG.

NG is The Duders' home. Plain and simple. :3

The future of 2d in Flash

With Flash Player 10 and all of the new breakthroughs in 3d flash technology now, I can only guess what kind of effects this may have on the coming Flash submissions here on NG and everywhere on the web. 2D might become very uncommon and 3D might be the new 2D :O Oh noes!

From the games point of view, at the rate flash is developing now, we should have our first multiplayer online flash CS clone in about 5-6 months. It's quite spectacular but is also a big push against the fun 2D games flash game developers are known for.

Your thoughts?

2d will never die.. theres a certain hand quality aspect that i love about it... 2d animation still caries the spirit of the artistic touch.. the imperfections and personality of the brush stroke.... 3d is very polished and machine like... sure its pretty but sometimes beauty lies in the inperfections of the human touch. IN MY OPINION.

Seeing a marc m cartoon in a pixar style would look terrible.

There will most likley be 3D animation but never in flash 10, Flash 10 3D was made for maybe websites/games the 3D for the most part was designed for transitions and adding depth.. If you have ever used flash 10 since the alpha has come out its accutaly not that difficult to use it but how it would ever be used in flash movies i dont see how its possible..

I don't think people would like flash games or movies in flash because it wouldn't be fun with the huge filesize. Unless they had a super flash optimizer that makes everything 1 kb then that would be cool. But 3d is only fun to do on consoles. Because Televisions are cool.

I might be a little late to the party but I 'd still like to congratulate Duder on the Frontpage. Also, you can probably just skip past the reviews that give you a '0', 'cause no reasonable person would give a piece of work that cost a lot of time and hard work a 0.

Meh, non-professional 3D looks a lot worse than badly-done 2D IMO. That's mainly for movies, though. For games you can generally get away with lower-quality models if your gameplay's solid.

I wouldn't mind trying my hand at some 3D games. It's not something I'd move entirely into, though.

I checked out the movies that "Rizaldi Valencia" supervized the animation and I found "The Lion King II: Simba's Pride" Scroll down the the visual effects section.

Sorry about the double post, but that's not the right movie, although Adam Phillips did animate in it.

That guy mentioned above isnt the animation supervisor in the second lion king..
