Eh, if someone doesn't know there was a stolen submission on the front page (which is where the icon was) and I guess it was replaced with nothing.. I'm sure it'll be fixed soon anyways.

Let me just say that I feel so exposed whenever I unlock all my layers by accident.

I think it's interesting that any minute change to Newgrounds is instantly a huge topic of conversation.

I hope the mysql update is all a joke and Tom + Co just wanted to see how excited people would get about it.

Pretty sweet. I like the design, pleasent, easy on the eyes, and easy to navigate.

Time on NG: 1 year(s), 4 month(s) and 24 day(s) (=512 days) Ahh... time doesn't travel slow enouph. Today was a good day. I was able to reflect on my time visiting NG the last year. My oh my oh my... ya'll must think I'm insane. How ya put up with hicks like me I'll never know. Anyway it's great to see poeple ya saw sign up a year ago winning Daily 1st and getting FP. Brings a smile to a young face and an old soul.

Also, if I don't post every 2-4 pages PM with hatemail to remind me what day it is.

Early Pico-Day
It's sort of like how I frown upon the kids who get to open one present early on Christmas... the fun is the anticipation. Waking up knowing there is going to be a wall of blue-colored submissions flowing into the portal is awesome, especially knowing that each one delivering it's own wonderful punch.

I don't know - it's a bit different. On Christmas you have a choice between presents and a lie-in, and I like my lie-ins :) With Pico day you don't really have any exciting alternatives.

Heh, guess it'll be really short since Pico Day is tomorrow :P As for early submissions, I can see why as the submission might get more recognition today than tomorrow, but still, it isn't really Pico Day yet.

GTA IV

I was never big on the GTA series before, but so far, it's amazing. It really does seem like a living, breathing city you're in. The voice-acting and cutscenes are fantastic. The gameplay is fantastic. I turned on the TV and found a channel with Bas Rutten on it. That was also amazing. The Collectors Edition comes in a metal safety deposit box. Like, with a lock and everything. It's awesome.

If you can, definitely check it out.

GTA

I've been playing it for 10 hours now (I take breaks -.-). It's a beauty, but it takes some time getting used to. The amount of detail that has been spent in the creation of Liberty City is bizarre.

GTA IV
My life beyond Flash is being a historian of early video game culture and adoption into mainstream society... and GTA IV is already heading down the path of raising concern over gun control and teen homicide rates again in real-life affairs. I find it amazing how mainstream culture adopts video games as tripwires for advocating gun and violence safety. I believe the graph below may be one piece of supporting evidence for this reasoning... or just an indication that we have replaced violence in real life with violence in a virtual setting.
