No matter what anyone says, we are not going to get a black president. We are most likely not going to get a woman president. The only people that will lead this country is old, rich, white males. That's all it has ever been, and that's all it will ever be. I think we need to accpet this and try to work with what we know is going to happen. It has worked all these years. Why must we change it?

The US and its citizens must get over with racism, but there will always be conservatives that will want the white man to win over any race.

Why not? The U.S.A. or any country (I live in Ireland) could have a black/homosexual/female/other predijustd against for way of life presedent if they were a goood leader!!!

Yes. But unfortunately, we lack leaderhsip in many of those qualities. The black person thats most likely to get elected president is Condelleza Rice, and shed be a lot better then that race-baiter Al Sharpton.

We already have had a black president. Well, maybe it was just a nickname, but still. (Clinton was often referred to as the first black president) A black president would be a good idea. It's so strange that we've had pretty much all old white Protestant presidents. I think that Condi would be a good leader.

I wouldn't mind a Black president, but I don't want a guy that'll care only about the "brothas" and not the US as a whole. In fact, I don't want any president of ANY race that does not care about the whole of America, or at least general American society. I am Black, but I don't want any special treatment due to my race (negative or positive treatment).

Oh and by the way, Bush appointed Gonzales (Hispanic) Rice (black), Powell (black), and the list goes on....

If we had a black president I would be terrified. Not because of the president himself, but because of the reaction of the American people. Surely this would complete the feeling of superiority in the black race. There would probably be a national holiday to celebrate the event. In which white people would have to bow down to thier African American counterpart.

I'm probably exaggerating, and I probably sound like a total skin-head right now.
