We've been saying that "today will be the day" for at least a month, but it's always been pushed back for one reason or another. However, U.S. troops have opened the bags of shrink-wrapped chemical suits (which aren't to be opened unless of imminent invasion, as they deteriorate quickly). Makes me wonder if Bushie is serious.

This war will not only be seen as an assault upon an unruly dictatorship but also, unfortunately, against the Arab world in general. Extremists will see this as yet another intrusion by the west and I fear that retalliation will be severe and relentless.

I will possibly/likely be sent out there, (If the Canadian DND deems it necessary) seeing as I decided long ago I wanted to play G.I Joe for a living.

Finally, yes there will most likely be an attack against Iraq. It will not, in my opinion, be a full invasion, but a swift and precise pounding by air. Call it Desert Storm #2; this time though, Saddam is gonna take a fall.

War is imminent. The troops are ready to go, and I don't think Bush wants to wait around much longer. Chirac has vowed to oppose the war "to the end", so I think we will go in without a UN resolution. I say just get it over with already, so we can move on.

If I felt I were needed, yes. As it is now, I don't think the US needs anymore soldiers, the troops stationed are more than enough to topple Saddam.

The US already pulled the UN resolution and told all UN personel to leave Iraq, war is definite now.

Well this thread serves absolutely no purpose now that war has been guaranteed by lunchtime Wednesday. Just thought I'd rouse some awareness as to the timliness of threads.
