I'll second that she was funny on Live at the Apollo.
No women are funny on Mock the Week.

Except that lass who looks a bit boyish who was on an episode of the last series.

If you mean Holly Walsh, then I agree, she's actually quite funny sometimes.
Plus she's from Guildford so that's an added bonus.

Aye, her.
She's also good on the eye ;)... though not many people have agreed with me on this.

I agree in part; sometimes she looks really hot and then other times I don't see it. Most of the time she's on form for me though.

Has anyone watch It's Only a Theory?
I just watched the first two episodes on iplayer (and its on BBC4 on Mondays) and I think its fantastic.
For a start, its got Mr. D. Hunter as one of the hosts (with Andy Hamilton) and we all know Reg is a God. But I don't think I've ever been so interested in the guests in a show like this - and the first dude in episode 1 has the best beard ever.

It's essentially Genius with proper Scientists. And despite the lack of kookiness, its funnier too, and Reg is funnier than Dave Gorman was, which is a little hard for me to admit :P.

Ideally Stewart Lee will be an upcoming guest so I can totally get my boner on for this show :).

Is that the one with Rhod?

Out of the three, the one with Rhod is the best this series.

The one that was just on tonight was terrible. Fielding was the main culprit of "random words is funny".

I didn't think it was bad actually. I agree about Fielding but he stopped his crap half way in. And Alex's hosting was a bit unsettling as he didn't blink. The cheese jokes didn't bother me until the last ones at the end either.
But I like Alex James, I love Peter and Newton Faulkner and Holly of course :).

... I kinda like The Veronicas too... <_< >_>

So the only thing that really annoyed me was Noel, but I hate him anyway, so its to be expected :P.

Bought Frankie Boyle's book today, "My Shit Life So Far". I've read bits on the internet, and it seems pretty ace.

My Drama Prize that I won the other week at 6th Form Prizegiving ended up being a £10 Waterstones gift card. Ideally I should use it to buy George Orwell's 1984 which I need for English, but I might just buy Frankie's book with it instead.

I could only find it in hardback, £15. Steep but whatever.

1984 is a good read too, though, but it's one of those books you'll get second hand for 1p (plus postage of £2.24 or thereabouts) on Amazon.

Man, Boyle's book is amazing. The dedication at the start is "To all my enemies, I will destroy you".

I enjoyed tonights Buzzcocks as well. Jack Whitehall still wasn't a patch on LaMarr or Amstell but he was funny, unannoying and had more than one (cheese based) joke.

Parts of the show lingered on Noel's unfunnyness for too long as per usual, but despite that and Rochelle coming across as a bit of a bitch, it seemed like a familiar episode.
And I love Stephen Mangan, so I was happy he was on :).

I'm gonna put my money on Frank Skinner doing really well next week.

I finished reading Boyle's book, and it's probably the funniest thing I've ever read. Know how mental his jokes and shit are now, while he's teetotal? He's got all these stories from when he used to take acid to write jokes, and has scripts he's written while high about Victorian performers on a living stage trying to rescue a woman from a parallel dimension and it's just batshit.

I thought tonights Buzzcocks shat all over the rest of this series. Perhaps because I have a huge mancrush on both Martin Freeman and (especially) Charlie Brooker.
I really hope Freeman becomes a regular host. And get Skinner to replace Noel. That would make me a very happy boy :).
