The war on terror is a rather comical phrase when used by the United States especially with its long history of supporting terrorism all through out latin america and Israel.

I do belive America, as does most of the world, suffers from polorized views regarding many current events, but i think America does the best job of having historical amnesia with regards to its foreign policies. No doubt a biproduct of highly propaganized History classes and a media that self censors itself to portray the gov as in the right just about all the time.

As for why people hate America that doesn't require a whole lot of historical and contemparary research for one to realize that well...we are pricks ;)

Take for example the animosity the US has towards the French...in this alone we can see just how misplaced the publics understanding of the world really is.
