What programs are there; That let me break apart the tracks in a song and fuck around with them? Or is it impossible?

I want to remix some Nine Inch Nails .

1) It doesn't exist.
2) It would be illegal.

NIN did a remix competition on myspace and acidplanet.com, the files might still be around.

There is no way of breaking down a final mixed track.
