Try to use some Grammar please.

Note: I am not trying to back seat mod I am just trying to make it alittle clearer what grammar is by being helpfull.

I am in no way a Grammar Nazi I do not mind a few miss-spelled words and the shuch. But if it gets to the point that anyone can hardly read it, you need to learn some grammar.

Paragraphs- More and More People are making long post in the form of one paragraph. There is no way that all that information you are givin pretains to one paragraph. There is a carage return key(enter) for a reason. Also a paragraph consist of 3 parts. The opening, 2-3 Support Sentinces, and a Closing senting not am opening 20 support anrother opening and 30 more suporting sentinces before you close it.

Spelling- I for one am not a great speller but when you start Saying words like Mah insdead of My 50 times in a post it gets annoying Same goes for kewl for cool. Just try to act like a person that is not 3 years old sometimes.

Grammar- For me I could care less if you said your in stead of You're, and used 50 exclmation marks but still try to keep your punctuation under controll some.

He is not telling you how to type. He is just trying to show people how to use some propper grammar.

Anyway, I agree, I mean, text talk is okay when you're on MSN, because it's like one insignificant message which after three seconds, will be forgotten. But on the BBS, you might as well put some effort into what you're typing, because it's a message which will be there forever... Unless it's deleted, of course.

I'm a grammar Nazi, so I really give a shit about how other people type. :D

I just hate it when people misspell words on purpose (like "kewl" and the others you mentioned). And it pisses me off when people Capitalize Every Word In A Sentence For No Reason.

Well, said, Fire-and-Ice, and even though you're 'tilting at windmills' I wager you yourself felt a little better for getting the rant out. You might be heartened to know that it has struck a chord with some other people here, if not, so be it.

I, myself, take to a hobby (now mostly dormant due to work, etc.) of creative writing - short stories, vignettes, novellas, etc. As such, I've become quite the Grammar Nazi. Albeit I have also learned to temper my zeal for clear, comprehensible writing with tact, lest I become a chacoal briquette from all the flaming. ;)

But to all the "don't tell me how to tpye" backlash - I'll just quote a friend's sig on another forum:

"On the internet we are made of words; do you want to be deformed?"

In other words, the only representation you have here is what you write - we can't see your face, listen to your voice, watch your body language, etc. You ARE what you type; your ideas are what you present to others.

...and if those ideas are conveyed in a manner that makes them nigh incomprehensible, at BEST, your audience is going to dismiss you since they can't understand you. At worst, people will misunderstand you, find fault with your (supposed) message and ridicule it (and you).

And for all you 'kewl, 1337 with a captial 1' speakers, you intend to say something 'encrypted' so that only a certain group can understand the message:
a) why then are you saying so on a broad public forum where not everyone groks yer code, dude, thus wasting THEIR time (and lowering their opinion of you - oh, and if you're going to retort with "I don't care what they think", remember that when time comes that you need the assistance of a non-1337 person ;) ), and

2) didn't I read something in the BBS rules about this? Oh yeah, here it is:

"Posting excessively in a language other than English for the sole purpose of excluding the majority of the users."

Anyways, let the minor little disagreements continue; don't mind me - I'm just the guy who steps into the ring of a dozen clowns performing and begins to recite Shakespeare; to the crowd, I'm just the 13th clown... ^_^
