I stop making music ALL the time. This stopping trying to make music leads me to eat, sleep, and generally do even less somehow, than doing just nothing would.

i don't think i ever could stop. i mean, i live and breath for music, when i get up i listen to music, when i have a shit, i listen to music, when i having a wank i listen to music, when i go to bed i listen to music, if i aint listening to music im making music. other than that im getting blind drunk but what the heck. imagine how shit it would be to not have music, or to enjoy ome form of creative process. it doesn;'t matter if it's shit, as long as you enjoy it. so basically i'll stop when the music stops baby.

even when I listen to pro-producers like DJ Tiesto or Pendulum I hear crappy things in their

Here are some things to try- Limit yourself. That's what makes creativity shine. You have to keep things simple and expand on them. Whenever I'm in a slump, I just intentionally try to make crap. It works as a release of all the ideas I can't seem to get right. Sometimes it even sounds good, by accident. I don't know, it could just be me. :P
