calvin & hobbes is the best. my favorite one is where he is in the front yard with a nervous grin and a sign that says "love the sinner hate the sin" when his dad pulls in to the drive way

That was a good one, my favorite snowman strip would have to be the snowmen that that were melting and holding signs saying the world was coming to an end.

Ay scene with him and Rosalyn can only end in hilarity. Calvinball with her is my favourite strip.

I wanna buy the three giant collection books, but unfortunately i dont have $300...

My Name is Calvin, and I was named after Calvin n Calvin and Hobbes, because my dad loves the comic. I also love it. Is that enough for me to join the club?

Awesome! My favorite would have to be.. well I like them all to much to have an exact favorite but one of my favorites would have to be Something Under the Bed is Drooling as well. That one was awesome, mainly when the monsters told Hobbes to throw Calvin off and said they would give him food if he did so! XD

Are the ones from England any different from the American ones to your knowledge?

No, there not quite different, they seem to be the same, it depends though, i only get some of them off my friend because its cheaper over in america for the books than what it is in england.

Its one comic artist who goes by the name of Bill Waterson, I thought everyone who reads Calvin and Hobbes knew that though. :/

Hello everyone, Spiff is inactive from Newgrounds now but your "Lead Tiger" is still here. I was made co-leader of this crew a long time ago and seeing as how Spiff hasn't even been on since last year I am trying to revive this place.

Anyone with me?

I am! I'll join- Calvin & Hobbes is one of my favourite comics ever. If all 6 year olds were that cool I might not have such an aversion to them... well anyway- I don't really know if I have a favourite comic, but the one where Calvin's dressed up as a "pterodactyl" and climbs up the ladder to leap off the roof is priceless. And of course all of his snowmen... now WHY don't we see more of those around?

Hello, DarkLotusJuggalo. Nice to see your commitment to this club never failed, right up until no one posted. I am the one called Spiff, someone stole my password, and unfortunately, I do not remember my e-mail to recover it. I'm hoping an admin can help wit this matter. Let's get this club going, shall we?

Of course. I do not see why not. Boy, it's been awhile. I still read these comics and they give me so many ideas.

heyn. wanted to stop by and ask if i could join. bill watterson is one of my favorite cartoonists. the ones i liked best were the poem ones.

"tiger sleeping in the sun
fast asleep his day is done
one sad fact he overlooked-
his brain is now completely cooked!"

"twitching tufted tail
(sorry forgot the second line)
a tired tiger."

You are referring to "a toasty tawny tummy"

Know every strip by heart basically.

Haha, MY favorite poem is;
My mom and dad are not what they seem.
Their dull appearance is part of their scheme.
I know of their plans, I know their techniques.
My parents are outer space alien freaks.

They landed on Earth in spaceships humongous.
Posing as grownups, they now walk among us.
My parents deny this, but I know the truth.
They're here to enslave me and spoil my youth.

Early each morning, as the sun rises,
Mom and dad put on their alien disguises.
I knew right away their masks weren't legit.
Their faces are lined- they sag and don't fit.

The earth's gravity makes them sluggish and slow.
They say not to run, wherever I go.
They live by the clock. They're slaves to routines.
They work the year 'round. They're almost machines.

They deny that TV and fried food have much worth.
They cannot be human. They're not of this earth.
I cannot escape their alien gaze,
They're warping my mind with their alien ways.
For sinister plots, this one is a gem.
They're bringing me up to turn ME into THEM!
