Don't Escape
I'm a werewolf and it's a full moon. I have to find a way to prevent myself from escaping.

I love the colours. Makes it seem like a real slum.
A working man's town. That vertical water-mill is a nice touch.
The only problems I can see is that, towards the bottom. Particularly the bottom left and right - it gets a little hard to distinguish between the cliff face and the buildings.
Also - it doesn't look like the cliff has any parts jutting out from it's surface - which makes me wonder how these buildings are staying up there, and also how people have access to them.

I meant the bottom of the buildings, there.
That's no where near the bottom of the image.
Haha.

Thank you! The problems you see are gonna be fixed, thanks for pointing them out.
A small update, i dont know how im proceeding, it feels like i messed up the colors.
the color scheme is odd... but it still looks cool... great idea... just work it man!.. beat the shit out of it till it looks finished... maybe use your current color scheme as a base, do a contrasting scheme on the buildings to make them pop... love your stuff. That's why I voted for you.

That's shaping up nicely, man. :)
May I ask why you flipped it round?
I noticed you did that with another one of your paintings.
Is there any reason for this?
Or just personal preference?
It's just when I make something - it'll look totally weird to me when the image gets mirrored.
no the colors look fine,
im assuming your tlkaing about the extra lighting?
no the colors are pretty close considering your color scheme, the lights also add a nice focal point that is your encampment

Thank you! Yeah, theres reason to flip the image. If you spend to much time watching an image you get used to it, and that makes it harder to se whats wrong in it. When you flip it, its like seeing the same image with new eyes, making it much easeier to se whats messed up. Try it!

Im trying to give more constructive critism, and not just the usual OAWH GAWD THAT BLEW MAH MINDS!
The colours seem... dull, in some way. I had the same problem today, i was using a good vareity of colours, plenty of lightning, and a high resolution but it still ended up... dull.
I guess you could try and add some more lightning and adjusting the color with the replace function. But then again, your far more experienced than me :P
besides, i just found out elements, which im using, isnt a special version, but a freaking demo! >:(
I like the water lots
I thought the perspective was the other way in the rough, but the bridge in the most recent switched it around, not sure if that's a problem

Thanks for the crits, im gonna lay this piece on ice for now though, maybe i'll work on in more in the future.

feels great to have production up again, havent done this much in years.
Thats nice, i love it when i have something to draw all the time.
I love the movement in the picture, you caught it very well. Theres not really anything bad to say, maybe the left foot is a bit off, but thats it.
Whats with the target marks?
maybe the left foot is a bit off
Wait, no its not :P
The pen for my tablet is busted, no more digital work until i get a new one, and i can't afford that. Fucking machines.

a stylus is only like 20 or 30 bucks.... you better paint/draw some shit on paper and scan it... or people will go through "Karl withdrawal"

Poor thing, i broke my aiptek awhile ago, i couldent do anything.
Anyhow you should post some of that traditional work your talking about, if youre seriouse about it that is. I imagine that youre skilled with oil painting?
i got it "working" again, glitchy as hell though. A freind is sending me a new one though. There still is good things in this world i guess.

This one looks great, but I'm not quite feeling the lightsource. Before you finish it, maybe you could add some some more light to make the scene more dramatic. Anyways fantastic work in here, you're drawing like crazy. :o
Keep up the good work

Thank you! I didnt want this one to get to dramatic though, so I dont think adding lightsources would be taking it in the right direction, but i can see where you're coming from.
I think i consider it finished also. I've allready uploaded it to deviantart.
Hi-res

K, I thought about the lightsource thing and maybe you're right, I see why you want to keep the dark eerie feel to it.
Hi-res looks delicious.
