I just ordered some acrylics and I'm gunna try them for the first time. I've seen awesome stuff that you did in acrylics and other stuff that you did with oils. Which do you prefer? Also, got any pointers for a beginner?

I started out with acrylics myself, and i prefer them. The main diffrence between acrylics and olis is that acrylics dry much faster. That is neither a bad or a good thing, but it fits for me, making it easier to work in layers and such. The teachers at my school recomend olis for starterts since its easeier to change the colors on the canvas without having to work fast.

Its simply a matter of taste i think. You should try both out though

amazing, amazing stuff. it makes me want to keep pushing myself so i can try to reach such a remarkable level, but at the same time, i want to give up cause i believe ill never be that good. haha.
also, i noticed something. looking through your works, your ps stuff is so color-heavy and basically your essentially painting with the lighting and colors, but then when you look at your flash pieces, it all based around a two or three color pallette. nothing wrong with that-just makin an observation. keep up the awesome work!!

Agreed. This is one of the few threads I regularly check on the art forum. Dile's was another but he seemed to disappear off the face of the planet.
Oh btw, thanks for your advice on acrylics. You were right, it dries soo crazy fast. I like that though.. Makes it more interesting ;)
