To start of this thread, the most awesome thread to ever have seen the light of the bbs, heres a result of sitting awake all night and listening to Sigur Rós
Feel free to tell me what you think!
I like it. Its looks like a quiet day after a storm. You style of painting is wonderful. Your background, middle ground and forground balances out quite nicely. And using the same tone of coloring through out the piece really adds to it.
Kudos
Thread killer and proud of it :)
Well if it took you an entire night, then you might have trouble making it as an illustrator :p
But its pretty cool. Did you do that with a tablet?
Tell meeeee

Oh no, i did it in just the last 45 minutes or so, the staying awake part was just as a side note, i think it makes me a better artist than

And thanks dudette, i was gonna quote you in my last message, but i screw up, so now you get a completely own reply! Oh joy!
Thank you again.
You are very welcome. Another thing...the imperfection on the building is wonderful. Makes it even more realistic.
Keep at it. I would love to see more of your work.
Thread killer and proud of it :)

I had a cup of coffee and looked at the image again, and got this weird idea, i like the orignial better though, even if this is more "artsy"
It was about time you made your own thread ;). I like the first one better, also kudos for the (reflection in the) water.

...took the words right outta my mouth!!
I totally dig the second one! ...but I'm into that kinda thing! I shall be a loyal follower of this thread and all that is LaserKarl, Amen!? ;P

I was going to say, the background seems kinda flat. I like the second one better.
amazing stuff. The second feels like the person is trapped in with the house. To me it resembles all those who dont go out enough and only see the outside through a window most days :(

It looks like he's touching a big painting outside his house :D:D Awesome :P
Are those puddles of water?
Anyways, I like your style of drawing, I like your idea for using dark and dull colours instead of bright like neon-green for the grass or light brown for the mud.
I totally love the distant of the woods, as the colourshadings fade away when it gets farder away.
Great job.
This makes it so much easier! Before when I wanted to view your work I had to go through your past BBS posts.
Heres a new pictiure.
Hands got mighty screwed up, i need to study more hand-anatomy.
I need to losen up more on the colors aswell, i've noticed that i tend to do dull and light images, and thats no good.

All of your art is great -- What sort of tablet do you use? (assuming you use one)
hands look good to me :)

A Wacom Graphire 3 (the old verison, not the new, or something, not sure.)
hands look good to me :)
Thanks :)
I can't see any mistakes on the hands, they look pretty perfect actually.. So does the the whole painting! Great work :P
Snap!
Pictures are amazing when you do them. Just some questions...
1: Have you ever done a self-portrait? If so, I want to see it.
2: If not, can you make one?
-and-
3: How long did it take you to become that good? Don't be modest, some people can actually master styles in a month or so. Possibly even less.

Look below this post. I've done more, but i dont have any thing on the computer atm. If i had a small mirror by my computer i would have started a new project i saw someone else do, "1000 self portraits" he did one self portrait each day for 3 years. Unbelivable. (i woulndt do 1000 but at least 100 :)
2: If not, can you make one?
Duh :P

This one looks amazing - you are like, awesome.
The only thing I don't like is the middle finger of the dude's right hand. Apart from that is it cool.
Damn, that's fantastic.
Did you do that all by yourself?

Haha, I just found that too amazing to be done by one person alone.
