I love to argue, even if its over the most petty thing I still argue about it. And I keep most of my smartass arguments online, because as you may know its not the most popular feature that people like in a friend.

Maybe not where you live, but its funny were I am. I believe thats called differing cultures.

People from the north have better schooling. People in the South have better spelling and grammar.

Personally I like the South better. It's cheaper, not so crowded while still having some good shopping and the like while having nicer people.

But that's my opinion.

Tighter communities, more in common. In the north everyone is so busy we dont have time to meet our neighbors.

No, I learned the hard way whats its like to argue over small stuff with people.

So in real life, I stick to bigger controversies/arguments. Like abortion, Iraq, etc instead of when the paper was due, what exactly did so and so say yesterday.

Thats what I like about where I live, no one walks the streets. I mean no one.

When I walk to the store its nice and cool out, no one to bump into you or distract you, it rains a lot so there is a lot of nice scenery to look at.

When I was in 6th grade I was 4'7 145 pounds with absolutely no muscle mass. A real fatass.
One day when walking on the sidewalk near my school, a blue beat up pickcup pulls up and the most stereotypical redneck you can think of (white-dirty tank top, missing a few teeth, trucker hat, whore girlfriend with more make-up then a este' lauder gift shop) leans out and shouts "hey fatty, get off the concrete your cracking it". But that was the turning point, I quite fatty foods and joined a bunch of sport clubs. Now I weigh 165, 5'7, bench more than some of my football companions.

It's a way for non-whites getting back at a class that doesn't really have a bad word. But it isn't really as bad. I mean, Redneck is in no way as close on scale to the n-bomb word.

Red neck = person who works all day hard
"N-Bomb" = Person who is dark

"Hick" is a nickname for "Richard." Sorta corresponds to "Dick" and "Richie."
At one point, it was a very common name in provincial areas of England... so when the forefathers crossed over the Occidental, that tradition was sorta brought along too. I guess people back then thought "Richard" was a common and poor name.

Much like how a "Maria" is a common name for a poor woman in Mexico... because a lot of the poor are named Maria.

"Hick Town" = Hick= province = poor = redneck.

A redneck is a person that identifies with a culture whose values conflict with going to college and getting a degree and/or becoming highly skilled in a particular area and earning lots of money. At least, that is sort of how I define it. BTW, the redneck culture is pretty much dead everywhere nowadays as most people are going to college. For example, all of my grandparents could be considered rednecks, but most of my parents/aunts/uncles/etc. have degrees and all of my siblings and cousins are working for degrees. Anyways, the main use of the word now seems to be directed at people for the purpose of slandering and stereotyping.

Also, this might sound kind of racist, but I will say it anyways. It is mainly minorities now that actually meet my definition of redneck. There are fewer and fewer whites that meet this definition, whereas poor minorities are becoming more and more of the population. By minorities, I mean blacks and hispanics. Thus, eventually, the word may stop applying solely to whites.

Refer back to people's, 'specially the topic starter's, opinion about the word 'redneck' and 'hick'. It is used in a derogatorey manner, implying inferiority. To most of these people, 'redneck' means 'uneducated, bigoted, and ignorant'.
