If you can hook a MIDI cable into a comp, the you should be able to hook a guitar into Reason. Is this true?

If you want to plug-in your guitar into your comp. I would suggest buying an extra soundcard with low latency like an "m-audio" soundcard and a "pedal" like guitar port, pod xd or something like that.

I hooked mine from a small mixer into my m-audio soundcard. For distortion etc. I use guitar rig 2.

Yah, I have a MIDI controller.

Could I use an interface?

Roland make hex pickups which essentially output midi data from the guitar. You plug the output of the hex pickup into one of rolands guitar synths, then you can run the midi out to your computer. wahey.
