Why change your name?

At the moment I see no reson for people to change their Aliases so quickly. I changed mine because "Shadow" was already taken. Im sticking with just "XVI" cause I cant think of anything right now.(somone help me). But i see people just changing their names just as quickly as they can change their sex. JUST PICK ONE DAMN THING!

i dont like people who change there name, if u really popular than everyone knows u as that name, no need to change it, look at tanner his/her name was better as TannerCenterwall or i think thats wat it was

my name used to be blam-clock but that was back when i used to blam movies but now that i rarely go to the portal i dont see any reason why to keep it so i changed it to Mojimbo

Yeah, I guess I don't like the idea of changing names often either. It's understandable if someone gets so many enemies after him/her and needs to run away (lol), and I haven't seen many cases when people needed to do that... most people who get into that situation just get a new account and abandon all their stats, if they never had high ones, because when you change your nickname, everything you did on the site that was recorded changes to the new name. Otherwise, I don't think that it's really necessary. Well, you might want to change it because it could stand for something you liked before, but it's not worth that trouble of "starting as a new guy on NG" again, if you ask me.

After you change your name, you friends don't recognize you either, unless if you have something in your signature pic that tells them that says something like "formerly known as mr_y (<<insert your name here)" or if your nickname is close to the last one.

Yeah, some time in the past I used to like to blam (and save) a lot, but I got bored of it, so I do like only 5 a day or sometimes maybe 10... depends on how many movies there are in the recent 50 at that particular moment, just to do that so I can deposit my experience.

Me neither... I've had this nickname since... I forgot... 2000 or something? Me neither, I have no intention of changing my nickname. I used this nickname not only on NewGrounds, but also almost everywhere I could think of...
