If anyone remember's me (Slizor, you out there?), I used to be a regular on here; I left, and am now back. Could someone fill me in on the Politics Crew, League of the Militant Godless, etc.
Also, this forum's better than when I left it. It's no longer left of Marx or long, vengeful posts. Hmm, on that note, I'll see if I can find my old Abortion thread or the Palestine/Israel one.

Leave, while you can!
This forum is controlled by vicious, ravenous useres who flame idiots from the general forums to a burnt crisp. They feed on suffering and cause it whenever possible.
They're a power-hungry, mangy lot, and want nothing more than to send you running in tears.
I'm glad to call myself one of them, and welcome to the forums.
The politics crew is merely the regulars of this board. We affix the ying yang (see my sig) to your sigs, and it's a "seal of approval" for the user, showing they're not a complete idiot, and they can type a whole sentence without using "STFU".
The league is for those who wish to combat the use of references to deities in debates for evidence, as they are all opinions.
I myself am a regular, as are many others that you'll meet, from Evanatuo to Nemesiz, swayside to Slizor, among others.
Since you seem like an intelligent person, we'll skip the usual hazing and flaming that goes on to keep out the idiots. We consider it our "trial by fire".
Welcome aboard.

I had a feeling that Commander had been a regular at one time, because his first posts actually had very valid and well thought out opinions. I think he'd make a good addition to either of the groups. Keep in mind, once you have the Politics Crew badge, you're held to a higher standard.
And what, Ted, old friend, is wrong with flaming idiots to a crisp? It's one of the most rewarding things on these forums.

Teddy, I think I feel closer to you now then I have ever before.
*Wipes away a single tear*
I just wanted to say that I appreciate you and all of the other regulars here for your efforts at culling the stupid from the ranks of the Politics Forum. Somebody has to, and I'm glad to be helping in such a task.

GameBoyCC showed up a while ago, I'm not sure if he'll stay. Biseor left for ever I think. AnarchyPenguin is off on the general forum. P-Chan is occasionally here. Urm...Freakapotimus is a mod, as you may have noticed.... swayside and imploddinggoat appeared again a month or so ago.
Quite depressingly I think I've been around here like everyday for 2 and a half years. Or it could be three, when was Bush elected? Bush Vs Gore...that's the first topic I remember. Is there anyone else?

Nope. All us second generration people rrrrule the forrrums, now.
Well actually I would probably say I was second generation, or very late first. Freakapotimus, Shrapnel, shorbe and P-Chan would probably be first generation. I would say that most people here are fourth generation (Commander is 3rd or 2nd), after the second fall of the Politics BBS (there was one time when all the posts from 2 weeks ago fitted on about half a page, the second fall I consider to be when there was a great influx of General bbsers.)
Slizor, historian of the NG Politics BBS. Coming soon - The Second Fall of the BBS and the New Age of Mods.
Damn, I need a life.

It would probably be easier to give definitions of generations. First Generation = Old BBS (I was on about 100 posts when the new BBS was created, so I would say I'm really early seond generation.)
Second Generation = The start of the New BBS (AnarchyPenguin, Anarchon, fuck-fu and pyroarchy)
Third Generation = I would say around the time of 911 (there was a big intake of people like LazerBeamBandit, Skewthat and Biseor)
Fourth Generation = Quite recent, last few months (again a big intake, I think to do with the war on Iraq. Dr_Arbitrary, Ted_Easton, Evanauto.)
There is alot of continuation between them and it is the time of becoming a regular here. Again, this is only my view. I would also say that we are now in the start of the fifth generation, post-mod (the generations are really based upon significant events (on the BBS or in the real world) and a increase in the number of people.)

Plus Perdix. I believe he was posting in Politics shortly before me. I miss him. *sigh*

*Cries* I'm not crying because of my laq of a life I'm crying because I finally made it to 100 posts. I'd like to thank Jesus for giving me the strength to do this, and the people at Kensington for making the wrist cusions for the keyboard, without which my wrists would be bloody and raw.
