guys, halp. Not sure what to get for my birthday, I really like the idea of having pet chickens but I'm not sure I'd be good enough to look after them properly, so do I risk having chickens or do I play it safe and just get a new desk and some more monitors?

Had chickens once, hated it. If you do get some chickens, be sure to get a tall pen for them it's easier to clean up and get the eggs that way.

Lots of work, you will have to cut their wings otherwise they'll start to fly around and they might end up fly jumping over the fence. Also they eat a lot and make a huge mess, bird poo everywhere (at least it's easy to clean it as long as it's not liquid anymore).

However on the bright side fresh eggs every day (and for some reason I liked em more than the supermarket ones), if you want more chickens you just leave some eggs to hatch and if you don't want more chickens just don't buy a cock, they still lay eggs, but those eggs won't be fertile.

And my grandma used to have chickens, and they were a pain in the ass to take care of. At least when they died we had fried chicken :D

haha, oh man. so @ college they have these shitty assessments that run in flash, anyway I'm fucking around and decide I'll decompile them and fuck with them and give myself insane scores, my first approach was to check the html see if anything interesting was there. I laughed. The XML for the answers is included in the embed params, like: xml=answers.xml, so I open the file. LOL. Every single answer is included with the points value also.

Making a PHP app that takes the XML and returns it in a readable form, so every test I get I can cheat :)

i got my new iphone 3g on friday, nice upgrade. i can't wait to get a server to be able to ssh/ftp from this bad boy, i'm actually considering a specific host purely becaus they have an application for the iphone. (same host as smulse (?))
