Yeah, the programming forum is slowing down; I assume it's because school is back on. Over the summer we'd have 100 topics / 2 weeks, we now only have about 85.

I have one more month of vacation and I'm spending it on every fun stuff I can think of ranging from BBQs to partying out with some friends.

I'm in second year of college now and we start doing some heavy duty electronics stuff, plus I want to get a job, so meh I'm getting the best out of the rest of my free time, but who knows, maybe it won't be that bad, time will only tell.

Nobody posts what happens to them most days!!! And nobody can be arsed talking about what I get up to most of the time, so the answer is simple. Post about your day even if it is mundane and boring and we can all bitch about how the governments screwing us over or how stuff is pure crap and that will make us feel just that wee bit better!

Today in PC Repair and C++ both teachers were teaching us binary. They asked for a number and both times I requested 69. Both of my requests were fulfilled.

Cats are nice.
Also my two doggies keep barking at night. Good thing I'm used to noise.

I spent all day chatting over Y!M and listening to music in the portal.
And yeah stuff is usually pure crap.

I may just be weird, but I personally enjoy school. I like to learn about everything I can. I don't know, it is just all so interesting to me. Then again, there are those unfortunate parts of schooling we have to endure, but it is so minute in comparison with the advantages.

Ahhh. wreckages: cat pictures? Haha. I have one myself (the lazy puss!) but she is a cute little meower.

i can honestly say i miss school, the atmosphere, the people, the people you don't talk to, but it feels "right" to have them there, the weirdos, even the teachers! the uniform, ohhh please make the most of it.

this is my new favourite song. it's 30 odd years old, but it's beautiful.

I hate school. So many morons in one place... I've learned nothing useful from high school... the learning process basically ended when I learned how to read and write. Ah well, at least I'm a senior next year, which means I get to make fun of freshmen and do deceitful things to them, such as selling tickets to our non-existent 5th floor bowling alley.

Awww, cute cat. Although the mindset of cats is that of gods, and the mindset of dogs is that we're gods.

I do like school a lot. I do dislike some of the way things are done and some of the people, but that is just life. That is going to happen for the rest of my life school or not, so I might as well try to enjoy it while I still can, lol.

Plus, it is much easier to learn without the stresses of making a living on a job that is so easy to lose.

You're gonna love this.
I sometimes miss highschool, the snowy days when we used to throw snowballs at each other. I also miss the blackboard honestly. I used to like to go out to the blackboard at math. I just loved math.

To be honest though I like college more. Highschool is fun, but college is way better. No more getting in trouble if you skip school. No more surprise tests, pop quizes, only a month of panic and learning 200 pages in one night sometimes while having a hangover too

@wreckages your cat is cute

I like the idea of education; learning is awesome but in my experience that is not what school is and it's down to what we're supposed to be taught and the teachers. I had a single good teacher, he went beyond what he was supposed to "teach" us for the students who wanted it and he really was knowledgeable, but the rest of my teachers? Very few understood their subject matter to the extent where they could be called knowledgeable.

Education here in the UK isn't about learning, it's about getting information into your head then spewing it out in exams which anyone can do.

I was about to ask the same thing :)

On the subject of school, I miss the place something chronic, but for the wrong reasons really. I agree with Sam 1, it's not about learning, it's about absorbing information. However, without sounding big headed I'm pretty fucking clever and managed to do it while pissing about the entire time and came out with an A, 8 B's, 2 C's and only failed science (which was a given from that start really). The thing I miss about school is the relaxed atmosphere, outsmarting teachers, pranks, the banter in lessons, going for a smoke whilst hiding in tree's, football at break and dinner, the PE group we got put in that was filled with a bunch of retards who couldn't swing a bat to save there life, etc.

Lessons seemed like such a part of school, and I'd gladly re-live my five years there if I could.

because I'm awful and remembering things and ridiculously thick. I spent the entire GCSE years doing no work, I literally did no coursework expect for my English which my teacher did for me, so yes, I did nothing. The exams I did pretty okay in, the problem is that most coursework counts towards at least the majority of the mark so even if you get an A* in the exam you'll still fail because of not doing any coursework.

What's tafe?

In other news I tried to make some chocolate pudding today, but because I put to much water in it I ended up with some weird liquid chocolate shake
