Not been around as much recently, been really busy on a show (pics attatched).

Took a day to build the set (big curved structure) and hang all the lights. Programmed and tech/dress rehearsal the day after then it opened last night. Photos are from the opening night taken by people in the crowd, found them on twitter. Might post a few more pics if I come across them.

Photo from the opening media. It was a video with lights synced in time to flashes, colour changes and such going on in the media.

Originally it was going to be done automatically and all I would have to do is play a video file back through the lights, but ended up me doing it all live (in time) to the media... looked good though.

Atmosphere there has been amazing, absolutely buzzing... love jobs like this.

Yeah most of the time. Long working hours and a lot of pressure though; but I love it.

What's everyone else been up to this summer?

Basically working, Dolly parton style 9-5 well its actually 08:30-17:30 but its the routine. Its starting to get interesting now though as I'm getting to do what I want.

Tomorrow two things. Making a stand against 3000+ strong loyalists and if I don't die will try and catch the end of the Celtic v Man City game....

Haha the funny thing is, I don't know any of those bands. And I spent most of summer looking for a job, as well as writing and playing stuff with my two-man band.

So it begins. The Toon Army's first game in the championship. BBC1 and 5:20. I'll be watching with a few beers and then hitting up the town for a mates birthday afterward. Middlesbrough could only a manage a draw yesterday at Sheffield United, and were arguably playing tougher opponents in West Brom. However, we beat them 3-1 last time in the premiership so I'm quietly confident that we'll do the business.

I would have to believe in heaven before I could go their...

Their was a flash a few years ago that summed that idea up for me, it was funny as hell but I can't find it :[

I survived though, we got to protest but their was not the numbers of people to block the walk.

And Celtic got beat 2:1 off Man City... Didn't expect that lol

And theirs a perfect example of why (if we can't have an edit button) we should have a preview button. So we know things look right before posting......

Oooo, preview and 15 minute edit would be even better. Because who honestly re-reads their posts after they write them? Only 15 minutes later, lol.

Well if we have an edit option, it should only be in NG Programming. The brain-dead fucks in General will abuse the feature if we give it to them.

you could argue that statement by saying the programming forum shouldn't need an edit button due to not being brain dead :P

i like the idea of having an edit button after a certain level and/or postcount

My day's just been made. Last time I was drunk I signed my friend up to something called The Bunny Babes Sex Toy Mail-list and completely forgot about it until he mentioned getting a letter from them today and opening it in front of his mother.

I may sound like a cruel bastard, but this guy put my window through last time he got drunk in my house a year or so ago. Revenge is indeed a dish best served cold.

Negotiating with a sales guy at a new company, Core2Quad q6600 2.4Ghz with 4GB RAM for $130/month, not bad. It's a shame, my current company have an awesome deal on for less money but they hate me - long story - so I can't go with them, however this new company have free KVM and remote reboot, so all is good.

Danny (and not smulse because he hates me and moved to mediatemple :() your site will be back tomorrow, hopefully :D Just got to finish up this social network for a client and I can PURCHASE THE SERVER!

Stuff like that is so awesome, used to send off for free tampons and shit, I still get weekly emails and the odd letter from a baby club because I was signed up as a new mother ;D
