My MacBook Pro has a 1px dead pixel, but it's so tiny and unnoticeable that I have to actually look for it to find it. Do you have multiple dead pixels, or are you honestly shipping it back to Apple because of one pixel?

how bad is it, though?
my current ihpone has terrible pixel damage, can't wait for a new one.

@sam ryan: If it came with it, and it is under warranty (new products should be) then you should have just sent it straight back and got a new one.

Anyway, I was reading about and found Apple won't usually replace a screen for one dead pixel. So after a little bit of digging I read that by applying pressure to the area of the dead pixel it can sometimes make them work again. I was a little weary of doing this (the MacBook Pro screen is made of glass ... and, y'know, applying pressure to glass doesn't sound like a good idea, I'd end up with a smashed screen again). But yeah I tried applying a bit of pressure to the screen and it now works... try it on your screen?

Yes I would send it back for one dead pixel. I use my computer for design, both web and lighting, and I need a perfect screen. That's the kind of thing that would really piss me off too.

Well I hope it stays like that. The guy I was talking to at MicroCenter says that works sometimes but it often comes back.

Haha, that's already bordering on OCD. I do design too, but a dead pixel doesn't bother me in the least.

I think I have OCD.

If you leave a door open so it makes a noise I go so fucking apeshit, I don't even know why but it makes me so angry I would kill a small child to stop it. I also clean EVERYTHING before using it and can't stand noise that I have no control over.

Haha I almost never clean anything. Heck if it weren't for my parents, my basement would be covered in a foot of dust. Noise doesn't bother me in the least. I do have OCD when it comes to arranging things. Everything must be at a right angle, or else it drives me mad. My keyboard always has to be perfectly parallel to my laptop, or else it ruins my whole day.

Do you turn lights on/off a certain number of times? I have to, and I have to wash my hands several times (including turning off the taps, drying them, then repeating).

Also, things that don't line up, aren't symmetrical etc drive me up the wall.

washing your hands over and over must become quite irritating, though your hands must smell lovely

i have one with taps, whenever i leave the room after using a tap i must make 100% sure its off, including holding my hands underneath them for a few seconds to ensure no water is coming out, repeat. etc. drives me crazy

They do the same thing to me. When I used to make games, all my friends hated my maps because they were ALL symmetrical, to the last detail.

Stupid OCD.

Ah yes, asymmetrical things drive me nuts as well. I once had to do an art assignment with an asymmetrical design, but I ended up making it symmetrical and flunking it. Also, I can't stand washing my hands, I see it as a waste of time. I mean I don't ever leave my house, so how would my hands get dirty anyway?

Not really. I don't see why you think imperfections on your screen don't matter.

I think everyone has little bits of OCD in certain things.

The only OCD thing with me is wires. They have to be perfectly tied up and arranged. As does the computer.

That's about it.

My computer area's the only clean place in my room :P

I just realised that I've had my phone for several months and have yet to put any money on it. I got 20p free when I bought it and sent two texts and ever since then I've just hoped people would ring me when I needed to talk to them. One day I'll put a fiver on and remember what it's like to be able to call people :)

The lowest amount I can put in is a tenner, which is crap!

The day I bought a 1TB Sata2 HDD, felt my inner geek get all excited as well. Only cost me £58 which is fucking great. Hard drives are well coming down in price!
