We should limit the programming forum only to the regulars.

Honestly, that sounds pretty good to me, all we seem to get in with new people are ridiculous "I want to make a game!!1!one!eleven!1" threads and actionscript questions.

Then again, if we had limited regs a long time ago when this whole issue actually arose, around like 2006, then most of you would not be here. A lot of the former regs left, unfortunately, due to the current problem we have now.

It would actually be funny if everyone who wants to post here would have to answer some random programming question to prove him/herself

Or if a post contains something like "actionscript" or "cannot provide pay" an alert would pop up asking then if they read the rules of the forum. In which case threads containing such phrases would be open to flaming.

To be honest I think I sound like an arse, it was probably the right reaction, but should have mentioned the troll thing earlier. Need to remember to spread some peace and love tomorrow to make up :P

Probably this place lost a lot of folks, it only now seems to be getting back together. I'm here through persistence, my usual forum dies a death. That place will go unnamed... So this became my main forum during that time, kept the flame burning even though I double, triple and sometimes quadruple posted in the regs lounge because it was so quiet.

Now theirs something that escaped my mind. And this is probably the most logical answer....meh....anyway post more often man, we need another bouncer guarding the door as Afro's busy and Zendra is here but probably has work and a life to be getting on with like most of us...

Need ma bed now :)

Is it a programming forum or just a discussion forum?

I started off on this forum, so I really didn't do much other posting. I had the occasional membership posts at random sites, but they never have really compared to this one.

Yeah, it looks good. I can never make up my mind as to what I want my site to have on it which is why it's just my name (linking to my email), a slogan and a hit count...

I was considering that a while back, being ambitious old me I started an entire site for it where people could sign up and shit but eventually gave up because it was pretty much unusable due to my awful PHP. After finding out the bookmark bar in firefox I've never really felt the need for it, I have every place I need to go at the click of a button. also having a keyboard with a fucktonne of programmable buttons means I can access with even less effort :D

I assume you did that yourself manually, but do you know if such a site exists? It could be an awesome idea to make if done properly; people submit the sites they want there and it makes a nice screenshot of each page (with a database so it doesn't keep regenerating images) and what not and they set as their homepage and have everything there, with easy Ajax adding and removing.

also, hrimg.co.uk is such an awesome website I wish I was as awesome as the person that made it ;)

I know there was a site out there a while ago that allowed four links. I'm not sure if it had screenshots from the websites though or just default placeholders. If it doesn't exist I think it would be an interesting thing to make. If nothing crops up between now and September I might give it a bash.

Aye, I saw you and Sam were both using it and decided I might as well join the trend. I can't seem to find a decent image host these days and it's a shame this one just caters for high resolution images. Most either give me a bunch of ads, horrible urls, un-useful crap/links I don't need or take forever to upload.

:D I originally had so many plans for it, then I got bored of it and left it, now I just upload every few days. It's probably the project I've got the furthest with and it only took about a day to make. It doesn't too bad hit wise though, 3000+ uniques this month, considering I never advertise it that isn't bad. I only ever use it for emma watson, she is so hot.

btw I removed your image from the frontpage, it looked out of place with the high resolution ladies ;) It's still there, just not on the main page.

Firefox does have it. It's an addon somewhere. I never downloaded it, but I've seen several before.

No doubt their will be an add-on for that. Theirs probably an add-on to control a robotic arm to type URLs for you! A browser that browses for you :)

Check the settings, the option is their for the robot arm add-on :P

Anyway politics in Ireland have took an interesting turn, or so I have heard. I will wait and see what happens. Sinn Fein are holding a party meeting apparently because members have started to walk.

Thats the news, and the weather still says random but light showers for most of the UK with the occasional chance of localised flash flooding in some areas. Any of our comrades south of the Scottish border been flooded yet?

The weather up here has been on/off constant all week, but that dose happen often here so I'm used to it...
