Not seen it yet, and although it does look good (and I've heard it is) I can't be arsed tbh =/

Dunno how you people can go to the cinema to watch movies. It's pretty much my least favorite place ever. The prices are shit, you end up paying more than you would for a DVD of the film with the added drawback of only seeing it once and not getting any special features.

Yeah, I guess I get that part. To be honest though when it comes to spending money on watching a film or blowing it in the pub, me and my mates choose the latter every time. Even when I was a wee lad though I disliked the cinema. Would much rather hang out in the park or town or something. If I'm watching a film, I like to be able to take it all in. Not have someone on my left asking me to pass the overpriced popcorn or listen to the rest of the cinema laugh, blocking dialect that I've now missed. Plus don't get me started on people talking during the movie.

I guess it's just me, but I prefer my comfy bed, beer and wide-screen TV.

A D/L and then hook my laptop up the 50" telly we have. And that telly has a speaker in so a then have a wire going from the headphone jack to that. Better than the pictures as you can pause it :P

I've seen the news on their blog. It's interesting because they said it's based on chrome, so wouldn't it be funny if you could make programs for Google OS using Javascript and HTML?

Another OS? The OS market is spread around enough as it is IMO. Can't they just build a new *nix variant or something?

I think that's what they're aiming for. From what I gathered, they want apps like Google Docs on it (ie web based apps) that can run on all modern browsers.

FTA

For application developers, the web is the platform. All web-based applications will automatically work and new applications can be written using your favorite web technologies. And of course, these apps will run not only on Google Chrome OS, but on any standards-based browser on Windows, Mac and Linux thereby giving developers the largest user base of any platform.

It is based on linux?

The software architecture is simple - Google Chrome running within a new windowing system on top of a Linux kernel.

let's hope chrome OS isn't just going to be a glorified linux distro, then.

i dont know if i'd move to it, it would all depend on hard/software support, which google is actually promising a lot of.

Oh, and anybody here going to see Brüno when it comes out? It looks to be quite a stupidly hilarious movie.

A hash key is the number sign. And I was thinking about seeing it (considering I thought Borat was kinda funny). The one thing I find funny about all this is that at the MTV movie awards, the character who plays bruno came down on a zip line (he was wearing some kind of outfit with his ass showing) and he landed right where his ass was in Eminem's face. Eminem looked Mighty Pissed lol. I laughed for a good time.

*sigh* good stuff
