Jeez, I leave for a day and a crap-fest begins. Although page 300 isn't in light of me either... hahaha. I still regret that. Anyways....

To Jon-86:
So you ARE seeing a doctor? That is good. Most people won't admit they have a sleeping problem, and therefore never consult anyone, which just makes the matter worse. And I used to never have dreams, or so I thought. I just thought I stared at the back of my head for hours. But I get them now, and I kind of wish I was back to the dreamless nights... haha. Most of my dreams are unpleasant or nightmares, or just plain weird.
But maybe "no" dreams means no stress in your life? I don't know, as I am not a dream expert, but maybe... haha. But even the small distractions can keep you up, because your mind is still turned on. You have to do something were you are not intellectually stimulating your mind AT ALL. Even when I go to bed, I still end up not being able to sleep for an hour or two because I just think about things while I lay there. Quite the nuisance when I turn over and find that I have thought away 2 hours of sleep I could have had.

Randosity is something you should see...

Ohh, by the way, Britain is not a country, you can't do cheese and automatics suck. Your steak, however, fantastic and turning right on a red light wins.

How was it driving on the correct side of the road? And automatics rock, I'd never want to drive without one...

Yeah it's good getting back to England and being able to drive on the correct side of the road again. And that's just because you're too lazy and/or stupid to do gears.

I asked in IRC too but I want opinions from those who may use webcams (it's been a really long time for me and the one that i have is so old it probably won't work).

(4:55:11 PM) Jessii: so I was told that i need to have a webcam for a class that I'm going to be taking this summer but my laptop is soooo damn slow. Does anyone recommend a good but cheap webcam that I wouldn't feel bad about never using again when I'm done with the class that won't kill my laptop?

Any suggestions? I would like to buy it before going to camp because I don't know if I'm going to have to come home to do my assignments because it's going to be too loud or what. Ugh! I was told this today and had I found out in July, I'd probably be more pissed lol.

No, we just have a shitload of traffic and it's a royal pain in the ass to have to keep shifting when in that mess. Also if you have an issue with your back/sciatic nerve, forget it! There's no way I want to drive like that because half the time I have issues with my left leg, so that's out for me. But standards are cheaper to buy.

How is it correct if 90% of the world drives on the right side of the road? And what if I don't want to do gears? I don't see that as particularly fun. A car is a transportation method, and all I want it to do is get me from point A to point B, with as little effort as possible.

I've got a logitech one. It was pretty cheap when I got it a few years ago and the quality's not too bad, the app that runs it isn't very resource heavy either.

So what? Sorry, sheep. 90% of the world is wrong.

Nah I'll admit, in America you don't have corners and there aren't any hills, so fair enough you all drive automatics - but if you ever drove over here and went up onto the moors or through the countryside it's enjoyable to drive up there, with gears, in an auto, it would suck. Depends on the roads, but I wouldn't have said it was (more) effort to drive a manual.

Wait! The no hills thing is wrong. Florida is a flat swamp, therefore you won't see any hills. If you go further north there are mountains.

This is what I was told, but that couldn't be the case is my life is hectic to say the least. I was similar to you in that for the most part over the last 10 years I couldn't remember my dreams, except about 4-5 very distinct ones that were so real I felt awake, but knew they were dreams because of the weird shit going on. Not very nice when your reliving some past experiences in your drams or seeing something happen that you don't want to when you could imagine what it would sound or smell like!

I'm sure we've had the auto vs manual conversation in here already. Its weird because I've had it recently again with some lassies who live over their and ones learning to drive. You can drive faster with a manual (rally cars for example) and it is easier going up hills if you have manual. Sure you guys have hills in the states. But nothing like the tight twisty shit we've got going on over here!

Plus its cool to wheel spin if your gonna be getting some new tires soon :P

What makes it easier to go up hills with a manual? We have some tight, twisty roads, you just haven't been in the right places lol.

Well say your going up a hill and their a junction mid way or at the top of the hill. You would simply jump down to first gear and then find the biting point on the clutch again. By the time you do that gravity will have stopped the car at the junction. Getting the biting point and giving it some gas stops you rolling backward, then you can check its clear and move on.

Or say you wanted to brake late going into a corner, with an auto it has to go down the gears, so the braking period is longer, where as with manual you can simply lift the clutch break hard nearer the corner and put it into second then take off around the corner.

Reverse handbrake turns for the one time I managed to do it properly are damn near impossible to do smoothly in an auto. That would take skill!

I would like automatics more if they were not as sensitive! The one I had a go on you literally only needed to press the pedal 2 inches and it was ripping it! If it was more gradual then it would be better! Their are probably ones like that. Driving over their is much less stressful than over here, even in the cities its somewhat more relaxed and that's what I love about America/Canada.

As much as the happy faces and smiles freak me out to hell, I do enjoy that change in people. Its a nice break meeting normal people never mind the nutters you bump into over here with their faces trippin' them every day of every week of every month of every year. And if you do find a bubbly person their either tanked up or one in a million, aye only 5 happy cheerful people in Scotland according to my statistics, but going by my life's experience I could be right!

I was told nobody really knows the exact numbers as firstly most people don't recognise it is a problem and think its something else that's effecting their health. Secondly if they did realise it was bad sleep they don't seek help because they assume it would be a waste of the doctors time. Or are too embarrassed?

But mental health is a serious thing, probaly even more so in Scotland as we have extra support for problems that stem from drink/drug abuse or the fact most people in Scotland have shit lives and that leads to depression and again drink and drugs or recreational violence. Its something I've worked hard to avoid! Don't want to end up like most people I know. Social problems work against you form day 1 if you were born in certain parts of this country!

I'm too lazy to level up. I should write an automated script for firefox, so that I can vote with minimal effort. I'll just make the script automatically rate everything 0, which shouldn't be too hard to implement.

It would've been alot easier before they revamped Newgrounds design and voting system. There was a single javascript function that was used for voting, and typing it in the address bar would vote for you without wait. But it's a bit more complicated now.
