I intended to, but I needed a laptop now and im happy with my £350 choice, its actually the first time I have been satisfied with a laptop. Anyway this is for a PC I'm fixing for someone, just got up and are about to have another crack at locating the audio drivers.

Also to get to this forum I google "ngbbs programming" then click the link. But today I was browsing images, searched "ngbbs prog" because I thought it would be sorter and found this :)

Anyway I was gonna write a basic server programming tutorial for Java Main as I need a wee refresher, I might do it for the C++ main also. But its mainly Java I will be looking at in a few months. So would anybody be interested in a tutorial on Client/Server programming in Java? Just want to see if it would be worth my time writing it up properly.

^_^ I don't get the whole thing where you guys even the Canadians or anyone for that matter like the accents in the UK. Still its a good ice-breaker when Im on holiday unless you get an arsehole who cant simply say he doesn't understand you and gets all mad about it. A simple "could you say that again" and I even make an effort to speak proper English.

Hello everyone. It has certainly been a while since I last posted in here. In the time I wasn't here NG certainly made some nice changes and improvement.

Nowadays I am studying Business Economics at the Hanze University and have been spending my time wisely. Sure keeps my busy. ;)

Like I mentioned before I was having a rather stressful period (study, life, etc.) and I needed to have some time focussing on that. Now that I have the feeling I got everything back on track again I can just happily browse here again. What has been keeping you busy these days?

Those were the days. I recall we had a temporary forum which was quite active and people were posting sources they've developed. And not to forget the framework that was written.

I'm not here as much as I was though. I just don't really have the time anymore because of practicum, school, 2 jobs and other random stuff. If only I could get the time to work on my website but I've pretty much lost interest :/

Howdy, a nice comeback and it really got time for a new nickname. Yup, this is still "Zendra" but finally with another nickname - the other sounded way too female, yeah, I have heard that a lot. :p

Also a good question. Perhaps an open source NG member system? Yes, I am developing an open source member system specifily for NG Programming forum regulars/news who might think they could use it. :)
Currently I am doing loads of testing and tweaking on a free PHP-host - they were the only ones I could find that support PHP 5+ (currently 5.1.2).
Of course I have a small beta version with glitches and bugs - please don't pay attention to the layout and it's probably not XHTML strict (I don't care), I am not a designer... perhaps there's someone out here who's willing to make a better layout for me?

(This is still an area where I need pay attention to and need to work out)

Oh, and while you're viewing it you might discovered that some parts say there's an invalid function, such as the filter_var function I tried to use, but my host doesn't support PHP 5.2.0. Sigh.

Make a thread about your work (or use the work-in-progress thread) this is the lounge for relaxing or hearing about what's happening with folks. But not many of them post about the news in their area so it just ends up getting cluttered with republicanism and stuff by me :P
