Was it too long or are the critics full of it?

It was long, but I don't think it was too long. It's a great film, with fantastic CGI, and it's very enjoyable to watch. If you're enjoying something, does it matter how long it lasts?

why is big Samuel L talking to that alan carr on the telly? anyone ever wonder if alan carr and jimmy carr have a connection? other than name? Best joke jimmy ever done was the opening to his show one time...

If you say "jimmy car" in a jamacan accent is sounds like "jamaca" - "jimmacarr" haha fucking class!

I wouldn't say I was a fan of Transformers, but I've enjoyed the films they've been extremely good.

Ohh Alan Carr does my had in. They're no relation though. Seen Jimmy Carr Live, it was mint

Anyway, busy times. Was up till about 3am last night working on some set designs for a show in August. I'd show you some renders but I'm not allowed until the show kicks off or if we change the plot but yeah, production meetings this week hopefully I'll be ready!

What's everyone else been up to?

I'm not much of a Transformers fan, but the movies are chock full of CGI-goodness, which I simply must see. The story isn't THAT bad, either.

I got a call from school saying that I failed two classes, so my computer, iPod, guitar, and cell phone are probably going to be taken away. Consequently, I'm not going to be around here that much. Oh well, that's what I get for being a layabout and not doing any coursework at all.

She's lovely. There's a few good scenes in the Transformers movie (one where she's laying/bent over a bike) lmao. Wow.

lol owned. Why don't you just do your work?

You're the kind of person that annoy me, because even though you may be thinking of going into a career where qualifications aren't vital to make it, or you don't want to go to uni of further education, or whatever the reason - you have no drive and motivation to do anything. You're not even in college yet. Even when I did badly college (for many reasons, I had a lot of shit on at the time which is part of the reason I left), I didn't let myself fail any classes.

Grow up and do your fucking work.

Also in other news, here's what I've been working on for the past few days. Set design renders for a show I'm doing in August. Now this is a very early render of it so a lot has changed (which is why I can get away with showing it and I won't get my arse kicked) haha. I'll take some snaps of the actual gig too in August.

It's my first time using the software, and only my 2nd time using any kind of 3D CAD (the last I used was in school in Design Tech).

Here's fun fact..! After the Spice Girls launched it. Channel5 was noting but porn after the watershed for the first two years so aye a do watch channel5 :P They also reinvented the way news was presented none of this behind the desk stuff, it was all action on top of the desk ;-)

I remember a time before channel5, when Sky was only for snobby people and only one person in the whole area had it lol

Humans are silly and only learn by experience. Hence why people repeat the same mistakes over and over, :3

I wasn't motivated until after I started uni. And part of that was probably because I was paying for everything with no help from my parents or anyone else. Working 30-40 hours a week while taking classes full time really makes you change your attitude about things.

Wow I'm incredibly lazy and I haven't even finished high school. That can't be good. I still have senior year ahead of me... ugh. I have a question, though. How do you hard-working people force yourselves to work? I've tried having some more self-discipline, but it always backfired... so how do you guys stifle the urge to just laze around and not do anything?

I am probably lazier than 100 sam ryans combined... I mean I can just sit and stare at the ceiling for hours and get absolutely nothing done...

Didn't ever get started with Channel 5 but I do love them for The Mentalist. One of my favorite shows recently and Five picked it up :)

along with what jon said, there must be SOMEWHERE you want to go in life, it's time for a reality check, you can't just sit around and expect things to work out because you have a "plan". i'm not trying to put you down or anything, you just gotta realise what you want in life, and now is the time to start grabbing for it!

in other news, do any of you more experienced players know how to buy a domain in which a (bastard) squatter has nabbed? those do my head in.

It's virtually impossible and not really worth bothering trying to do. Pick a different domain or a different extension for it.

In all honesty you would probably be quicker tracking them down, killing them off and freeing all the domains they are squatting on! However the domain company they are using might be against this practice so it might be worth a try approaching them! Let them know you have a site you want to make etc.

You could always try and con the domain company into transferring it to you. If you've ever seen that documentary on channel5 about "sex.com" you will know what I'm talking about, its actually an interesting story.
