looking through his posts, he came here because the flash forum abused him so much, their mod even said he'd lock any topics adam makes regarding needing help lol

I use Trillix decompiler, but I think it's Mac only. Also, expect to have to pay for a decompiler, as most "free" decompilers require you to buy a license to decompile Actionscript. And I'm not surprised that adam keeps getting gang raped everywhere. The kid's got a huge ego...

I have had good experiences with Sothink in the past. Don't have it any more though because I don't work with Flash that much.

I used OllyDbg way back when. It seemed pretty good, but it's the only one I've ever used. It is free though.

All ready stated here:

If your thinking I want to get in on fucking with adams site, thats no the case. I culdnt care less. I just noticed people found it quite easy with a decompiler. That I didnt know existed. And want to find out what I can do to make life more annoying for people looking to nick my stuff.

Jon, if you're interested in this sort of stuff, you might want to check out CriticalSecurity and Hackthissite

They have a sections developed to application decompiling and such. It's pretty interesting.

I recently read a book about application security. I really never seen the need for hacking, so didnt bother with it. Searching for an exploit and then running it, never seemed useful I still dont think it is. But now in order to improve the stuff I have been developing I decided to explore this more, to get a different perspective. So the more security info I can find the better. But its actually quite hard to find decent resources. Or Information that isnt ten years out of date.

I had heard about hackthissite before, and when I looked at it and at the community, it seemed nothing more then a honeypot to trap people. That and the tutorials they had on heir were crap. Things like "Build a browser with VB" a tutorial on how to use the VB6 browser object etc

Not that usefull. BUT it might have changed in the past few years. And I havnt seen the other one so Thanks for that..!

Well how do you think open office worked out how word documents work? Or how security researchers can find vulnerabilities in proprietary software? It's sometimes the case that programs have to be decompiled/reverse engineered because of lost documentation or source code.

My personal reason for owning a flash one is that I get asked to update a fair few flash websites and the original creators weren't kind enough to leave me the source fla files.

Every few years there seems to be some huge drive against reverse engineering but the fact is that it is a necessary evil of programming. Sooner or later you will have to decompile something.

Sufficiently advanced incompetence is indistinguishable from malice.

Hehe. I'm actually doing it now. They added a lot of new sections since I've been gone.

I put together a video of clips from the show I did a few weeks back. I know I always promise pictures and never do so this time I went one better with a video for you all.

http://pnch.net/rn08/

A guy called Derek Jones was the main lighting gaffer. I was just crew however I did run the show for a few pieces and some of my programming was used throughout the show (and shown in that video at random points). Also note Irish River Dancing Sumos at about 2/5 in.

On BBC1 their is starting a Thriller called "Don't say a word" with all sorts of hollywood start well known from about 10 years ago, so it should be goof.

But thats not the point. The point is the Male VS Female BBC announcer. Since the BBC disnt have adverst. Which is a shame because it would be cheaper then that damn TV license Bullsh!te ANYWAY who has the better voice?

In this case Female kicks the guys voice for an interesting introduction to a film. Although if you move outside the BBC, the Guy from Channel4 is quite good. But it dosnt beat Channel5 when it first got launched ten or so years ago and they showed nothing but porn for a good two years, to get the yiewers in :)

Anway the bank robery intro scene is getting good. So I'm off !

Ok I've been thinking about it for a while and this week just pushed me over the edge. I'm basically posting to say that I'm still going to be around but my presence is probably going to diminish more and more as time goes by. There are many reasons but I'm not going to go into it because there are too many and I'd probably end up becoming enraged.

Here's a summary: I had a really stressful week and when I get home I like to unwind and relax for a bit before doing more work but it doesn't always happen. I'm exhausted and burned out really badly and just coming on here and seeing the gobs of bullshit is just too much after being stressed all day with some of the clients/my coworkers. So needless to say that I don't need to be coming home and "yelling" at more people ONLINE no less because they're being completely stupid.

So if you don't see me around, this is why. I'm basically only interested in this particular thread lately and even this thread doesn't hold my interest anymore. So I'll be here on and off but I'll be like a ghost watching from the shadows.

But shouting at the moniter is a way to release stress, like in that film anger managment, when the guy says "hit the pillow" and the ganster guy shoots it seven times or something. Might have been a different film.

The film I was watching ended up to be crap :(

Tell me about it.

It's too bad, Jessii. I hope you still stop by IRC.

I left because of the immaturity, but I think I'll start coming back again. Hopefully some imature people won't "scare" me off. :P

I'll still be on irc. When I came to NG, this forum was the one that fit best for me because even though I'm not a programmer, I still like to "look" at it and maybe let something absorb. It was also basically a more mature forum as well. Now look at it. I'll be here on and off but more off than on.

My dad just shoved a shot of something called Kumquat in my hand and if any of you ever get the chance to try it, I definatley would. It's got an orangey taste to it, goes down a treat, pretty much just ticks all the boxes. Well worth getting in if you ever see it.

I've been pretty absent from the forum and programming in general as of late. I intent to get well and truly leathered this weekend, then recover Sunday and back to college Tuesday (you lucky dog you Sam). After that I'm hoping to get back into coding, get my site(s) online, etc. Until then, bottoms up and may the weekend be a good one :)

Yeah...

Today I quit sixthform college. I've got a bit of work lined up both web design and a bit of lighting work, but I don't really have anything set in stone to do. I'm hoping that I'll get some permanent lighting work with a company (that's the plan anyway). Eventually I want to be a freelance lighting designer full time which means I won't be around so much. Even with any work I get at the moment I could be away anything from a day to a few weeks.

I find myself reading through threads and I can't be arsed to reply. Even if it's something I can answer I just feel like there's no point. The help given here isn't appreciated as much any more. There's too many people asking retarded questions. I don't know, maybe I've just got more mature but I find myself with less and less time and patience for the majority of people on here (not regs).

So yeah, that's my way of saying my time on Newgrounds is likely to decrease quite a lot over the coming months. I go to Greece on Monday, and when I get back I've got to focus on getting a job and getting out the house and when that happens I'll have even less time for NG.

Jessii I wish you all the best, and that goes to all of the regulars here. I imagine I'll be around from time to time, but no where near as frequent as I have been up until now.

On that note, just about every reg from the first incarnation of the programming regs lounge appears to have either left, or is decreasing in the amount of time they spend here. The song "circle of life" is buzzing around my head at the minute. E-tears are littering this post.

Make us proud you new regs. Keep this place as good as it was back at page 5, ,157, 272, etc.
