You've all made my day with the discussion above :)

You'll be happy to know that after searching several outlets and getting a couple of managers involved, I did eventually aquire a bottle of Absinthe. 50cl between three of us. I'm still considering whether to drink it neat or mix it with water and sugar (as reccomended). The plan at the minute is three beers, absinthe, walk to kebab shop, eat kebab, whiskey, more beer, go to pub, more beer, soco lemon and lime, whiskey.

If by then end of it I'm not in hospital or dead, I'll make a point of coming on here Sunday morning and letting you guys know what went down. If you don't see a post by noon, you should assume the worst ;)

Hey Danny, if you do finally keel over, can I have dannyisonfire.com and your NG account? (I'm also Danny, so it'll fit me quite nicely).

In Prague (school trip) we were doing absinthe shots (doubles... and plenty of them) along with plenty other alcohol. Far too much absinthe was consumed and everyone (except the teachers) had a hangover the next morning. It's not an advisable drink really, plus it doesn't even taste nice. I don't really want to touch the stuff again.

Anyway this lighting job I am on atm is going great. Still won't be around much for a while though for another week or so.

Hope you're all doing okay <3

Hey Danny, which hospital are you going to be thrown in when you finally pass out? I have a feeling we're all going to have to start collecting donations to buy Danny a new body once he drinks his away...

On an unrelated note, how's life in the UK? Is it any better than the US (which is going to the gutter)? I mean, if either Obama or McCain get elected, I might not be staying in the US...

I was originally considering Canada, but I don't like hockey or metric...

I love the US, but then again, it's all in the area that you live in. I live in an upscale, nice area of the city that I live in.

McCain sucks balls too, i mean making statements that it would be perfectly ok to remain in the middle east for a 100 years doesn't sound like a smart idea.
Obama was doing really good but when Clinton was out of the picture he made a few screwed up decisions and lost a lot of his supporters.
Ideally you guys should get someone from a third party in the white house but that is not going to happen either.
So yeah, your politics are pretty much screwed ;)

on another random note, is it just in the west midlands where the bus service is annoyingly stupid with timetables and generally never on time?

Is Gordon Brown starting pointless wars in other countries? Is he a total retard like George Bush? Can he pronounce "nuclear" correctly? Also, happy page 400! Hehe... I'm really looking forward to page 666 and page 1337...

Opinion polls are against him, but then again what did opinion actually matter if you get the job done?

Gordon Brown isnt doing a bad job. Labour as a whole is doing a bad job. The media have put this anti-brown spin on it for one of two reasons. The first is because their racist bastards, and played up on peoples predjuces in England and they all went along with it. Second if they can shift the blame to gordon brown they hope that people will still vote for them if he is replaced by someone, when infact it would still be the same party with the same problems.

Dont be fooled by the media people! Free thinking and all that jazz..!

I would agree with you, but i have no choice but to take the media's spin on it because i wasn't there, so we have no choice but to be influenced by them.

Unless you know something i don't!

People have the internet and have the ability to cross-reference and ask poeple who live their. And you should never let someone elses opinion influence your own decision. If the Matrix teaches lazy people anything, its to "make up their own damn mind" as the line goes.
