Right, this sucks. I just grabbed my laptop's power supply, and I nearly burned my hand. It also smells burnt, which can't be good.
Guess I'll be taking it back to the shop on wednesday or so, but this sucks arse, since I do almost everything on my laptop =(

Wow, yeah, that's not normal. I've had my laptop for over three years, and it's a piece of crap, and it still works perfectly. At least the hardware does...

Actually they aren't, especially if you need to bring your computer somewhere. You can't just pack up your desktop and go and then plug everything in just to have to pack it up again.

Second, let me explain why you're an idiot. I need a laptop for school, because school PCs suck and I want to be able to do something useful instead of listening to the crap they try telling me there. When I'm at home, I use my PC to watch TV or play games. All the while my laptop stays on so I can check a few sites or watch IRC. I can also move around a bit, sitting in different places, without dragging a desk and a few power cords with me.
