In other news I've been a bit ill today so stayed off school. I'm going to write a CV though today, as a lighting company I emailed about work asked me for once, so I'll send that off to them and hopefully see how things go :)

I wanna get a USB hub. I don't need anything too fancy but I want something that's slim & at least 4 ports. I also prefer that it doesn't plug into any electrical outlet (that it runs off of the CPU's power - if that's possible). Any ideas? I've found some but they've had some bad reviews.

There's hundreds out there. I personally don't worry to much about reviews on Peripherals, because they don't tend to be very expensive and don't need to last forever.

That's the thing! I found 1 that's like $3.99 or whatever or $14.99 and reviews said either the computer acted funky or the usb devices weren't recognized, OR it stopped working after 6 months. I want something that's gonna last a while.

I think it's wiser buying extra USB ports and installing them in your machine if that's possible for you to do. My mate had one and despite it being a 4-way hub it would only ever detect one thing plugged into it. I've never come across a decent one unfortunately :(

Indeed, just get a PCI card with a few USB ports. Atleast that'll work.
