An idea came about from this thread, to do with possibly creating a sort of showcase topic.

I reckon not - there's few, if any, project topics. A one-stop-shop would get too messy, just like this lounge. I'd prefer an individual topic for each, it's a lot better.

At the minute, neither am i.
It dosen't look like it's all too popular right now, and i figure anything i create will get more attention in the reg lounge, or in a topic of its own.

Has anybody else had problems on gmail with getting spam (or for that matter any emails) that's not addressed to you? It's kinda annoying and scary to think that emals you send to an @gmail.com account could be going to some random person.

Today in my inbox, I got a spam message addressed to clecio.couto@gmail.com. That's not even close to my email, aside from the first three letters. Why does it get dropped into my inbox?

Haven't noticed anything like that, no.

Are you sure that just wasn't like the visible address and it was actual addressed to you?

Check the original message and look at the headers.

Alot of spam is like that, for example my ISP is f2s, and I get spam emails that say To: randomname@f2s.com

Also, if you were in the BCC/CC field, you wouldn't see it either I think.

Thought of that already. It's actually the address that I posted.

Exactly what I'm talking about, but why does it happen?

You will see if you're in the BCC field, but you can't see if anybody else is in it. This email did not have me in the BCC.

Today I got a spam email and the only thing in the To field was "Veronica". No email address just a name. Weird.

I've not seen it, but I'm quite into films so I'll see if it's in the videostore next time I'm there.

Typescript 1.0.2 will be released early august (probably before the 11th).

Includes some bugfixes and improvements:

+ Bugfix: Editing a renamed page (whilst it is being renamed) no longer causes a crash.
+ Bugfix: Opera sometimes incorrectly handled some parts of the editor, notably the popup windows. Fixed.
+ Feature: New themes management system, handles all of the themes much better than the old one page system.
+ Feature: .htaccess file controls security for core files.
+ Feature: Improved Safari support, thanks to Apple's Safari 3 beta. Typescript no longer bans Safari outright.
+ Improvement: CSS cleaned up to improve consistency across the program.
+ Improvement: Some code ported to OO to improve efficiency.
+ Improvement: IE7 has a better looking typescript gui, thanks to a somewhat nicer way of handling transparent PNGs.

Hopefully by then we'll have a new set of themes, too. :-)

HAve you ever considered submitting Typescript to OpenSourceCMS?

Submitted my post too early...

It'll give you some exposure, plus they host demos of all the CMS with access to the admin panels and stuff, that refresh to factory settings every hour or so. People can also comment on the CMS so you can get a little feedback.

1.0.2 will probably be the release that we're going to plug typescript just about everywhere, and that includes open source cms. ;-)

Woot! My web crawler is now complete! It will crawl the web looking for sites that have content related to technology (programming, hacking, web design, etc). As I type this it is currently running (via cron). I will let the bot collect information for a week or two before opening the search engine. The search engine will be located here: http://search.helnet.org
