Did anyone else get a random PM about the SS writing a "book" about how to abuse and exploit newgrounds? I'm not opening this so called "book" and would urge that no one else does either because they're probably counting hits somehow and it would be more fuel for the fire.

It's already made into a pdf file with 5 or 6 mirror sites. I think I may forward it over to Wade so that they can fix the loopholes >:D

Eh, compared to some of the stuff that goes on in the other forums here, it's pretty harmless.

In general, think of the people that have to put up with the "OMG WET PUSSY" threads, and it's a cat that's all wet. lol.

It'd solve a bit.

Maybe but the problem would be to really enforce that because it's easy to get around age filters.

True. But decent forum rules should be enforcable. Like not allowing offensive language, explicit images, ...

Would help NG alot :P

Offensive language really isn't the problem. The problem is simply idiots who will always be idiots, and there's no simple way to eliminate them. The mods do their best, and they do a pretty good job.

That's true but general is just general. I don't think it'll ever change and those hits bring in $. Unfortunately.

I think that the forums would be a bit boring if it wasn't for the occasional idiot and/or helpless n00b.

You can learn the basics of sql/php sql functions in a day or 2, you'll see how much easier/better it is with databases.

Most portals use databases though. Its more of a challange to use it without sql.
