Official threats warning economic sanctions by the US against any country who opposes them on the Iraqi disarmament issue. Proof that World democracy has gone down the shitter and that we should soon be practicing our Nazi salutes before the american flag.

The article only said that relations with nations who voted against us would be strained. (They probably already are in the case of France.) It never said anything about economic sanctions. Did I read the same article that you did?

I forgot to link some of the related articles. Also, check out the soft lumber crisis with Canada. The American Government is applying a 27% duty charge on Canadian lumber, despite NAFTA... does that make any sense whatsoever?
What I was trying to get across is that the American Government punishes all those who refuse to be the "bitches" of the United States. For all you Yanks out there; I in no way mean to sound anti-American... I just despise the Bush administration, past and present. (Clinton kicked ass..)

While it's wrong to play the politics game how we're doing it, I can't really give a decent response to it. "Let us use your bases or you won't be getting that aid money" is a dark card to use against people who are starving, but if it gets the job done, it's all good in the eyes of politicians. I don't agree. Evil. But it's how the world is.

You want to check out the actions of the WTO and the IMF. They dictate a country's economic policy (which I must say does not work) so that country can get loans. They preach things like Privatisation, asolutely disgusting.
