Anybody read the legal section of the literature pages? Some hilarious stuff there. It's really representative of the ideals of newgrounds.

Well... I can't say I'm a big fan of everything that Fred Durst has done, but besides Korn's cover of "One," that was the only other song from MTV's Icon for Metallica that really stood out from the crowd. The other songs on that show were excellent as well, but those were the only two that really knocked my socks off.

I mean, there's more to music than how much you love satan, like, I don't know, INSTRUMENTS.
They're as good instrumentalists as any other black metal band. You'd be surprised about the Cradle of Filth tune though; it's a cover of an old Iron Maiden tune. And having heard the original song, I just have to say that Cradle of Filth did the song a lot better than Maiden did.

Could have been like my small college on November 2nd... they had 50 or 60 John Kerry signs crammed into one area just right outside the main campus building. It was like one sign every three feet, anywhere where there was grass available.

Actually, it's corner to corner through traffic. Across the street; you can just curl your hand up and pressure it to stop. Down the street; you run the risk of missing the vein entirerly. Corner to corner; no turning back.

God I hate numbers. I'd rather just find something that hasn't been taken than have what I want with numbers added.
---------------------
A few weeks ago I auditioned for the upcoming album that the Volunteer State Community College is putting out, made by the students to show off their songwriting and instrumentation chops. I don't write, I play, acoustic guitar specifically. When I auditioned, the teacher in charge and 30 some odd students applauded enthusiastically over my playing. The guy in charge of recording says that I will be doing overdubs on one or two songs. I'm not offended about it though, they've alotted more time for overdubs than they have for the actual recording of the songs, so no one will be breathing down my neck to get done quickly if I screw something up.
But there is still one person who swears up and friggn' down that I can't play guitar; my little brother, who also attends VSCC with me. Every chance he gets he tells people that I can't play guitar. Nothing like family members to be there for you and give you encouragement when you need it, now is there?

i could never attend college with my siblings. my bro is an asshole and a failure. my sister is just annoying and kind of naive about the world..she's smart bookwise..but she really can't put things together too well..jokes are often told to her in slow single sylable way so she can understand. my bro dropped out of two colleges and now works 7 days a week at 2 different minimum wage jobs...not something i with to aspire too. i also plan on getting away from my family when i go to college.
i have 50 gmail invites. theres some website you can send yours to who give out invites to people who want them...its really cool.
i gave it like 30 once, and got down to 15 invites left..the next day, i had 50 invites again.

That's the other thing; he's a better student than I am. And he loves to throw it in my face in front of my friends every fucking chance he gets.
And in addition to telling me how much of a crappy musician I am, he loves to tell me how crappy my guitars are. Nevermind that he's not a musician, has no rythym, and only owns one (rather fine despite the price) instrument, he somehow feels himself highly qualified to tell me how crappy my stuff is!!!!
I swear, I think God was bored one day and decided to put little siblings on earth to torture older siblings. Then (just for laughs) he made it illegal to strangle them, leaving the older siblings with high blood pressure and elevated stress levels. I can just see God, Jesus Christ, the Holy Ghost, and the rest of Heaven's Assembly laughing their collective asses off as older siblings pull their hair out by the roots while the younger get away with freakin' murder.

I would have to concur with your assumption. I mean think about it, according to proteas, the younger of two siblings should be annoyin, I am the younger of two siblings, coincidence, I think not.

My brother's the same way. He thinks just because I only play two tonally based instruments, and that my musical focus is on percussion, that I'm not a real musician. Nevermind the fact that I've recorded better music than he's ever heard, or that I smoke him comparatively. I don't do melodies, so he's somehow superior to me.
And he wants me to play in his honky tonk band. What an idiot. I'll play southern rock, if by southern you mean Texas, and by rock you mean Pantera. I'll compromise at ZZtop or Skynyrd, but Jerry Lee Lewis covers? That's just retarded.

I used to get the same shit from my older brother. Him being the trumpet player, I the percussion kid. He shut the hell up after an impressive display of Fuer Elise on a vibrophone though :)

I don't know shit about working on cars, however, my friend had a system like that where you just stick your phone into this little cradle and you can use speakerphone all over your car. Like I said, I wouldn't know how to do it, but I know it's possible. You might have to go to a professional to get it done though. It seems like one of those things that's very intricate.

We're soul twins. Let's have sex.
Seriously though, same thing here. My older brother FAILS. He didn't pass his class last year (I have no idea of the equivalent on U.S. school system, but I do know he stinks at it) and pretty much the only thing he's good at is playing basketball, and getting wasted. My old(est) sister is studying laws at some ultra right wing university. She wouldn't recognize a joke if she was dick-slapped in the face by one. And she has a friend who is a nazi. No jokes, really, he is. He's all german and stuff, AND he's also nazi. He's always saying stuff against jews, gays, peruvians and so. I think his name is Vinfried... something. Anyways, so I've got a FAIL brother and a nazi sister. My family rocks.

Congratulations! Networking is the most valuable thing next to experience that you can reap from an internship. Interning sucks, but the job opportunities that arise -- Hooie!
I know you'll do well. ^_~
Oh, the joy of siblings. Luckily, my brother is 24, and doesn't live with me anymore, so we get along fine. Avie can attest to my ire when my brother and I had to share a bathroom. >.<
But yeah, he was an annoying pain in the ass when we were growing up.

Nothing really hard about playing the trumpet, only a handful of notes you can get out of that thing, I can play the "Hockey Night In Canada" well. I can't believe we had to learn that song in band class.

Cool, it makes me feel like it's possible knowing that someone else has done something similar. I do have a general idea of how I'm going to do it, but it's always good to get some other opinions in case I'm doing something the bonehead way instead of the simple and easy way. You also described in your friend's car exactly what I want in mine.

I want you to know something, I'd rather not post this in the general forum because the replies are lame and try to be funny. I think my friend has FAS or something around there. He's changed over the year, before he was normal but now he's just weird. He'll do things like try to climb up walls, he'll lay down on the street. He says alot of random shit too, mostly dumb schemes like "I'll steal that car, i'll drive it and run over that...(looks around) dogs hair, then we'll take that womens shoe..blablabla". He'll stare staight down, with his chin on his chest. When he's at my place he'll throw my stuff around, nose through my stuff. Other times he'll just wander off, without telling us. When I let him on my computer he does nothing but press all the keys and wipe his face on the keyboard. He kicked the speakers on the top of my TV which had a glass of water on it and it short circuted it. He disapeared for a few days and came back and said he got kidnapped by a homeless person. His brother has down syndrome and his mother is insane. Maybe I should take him to the doctor...

If his mother is truly insane, he may be exhibiting the beginning manifestations of a serious mental disorder. Is she schizophrenic, bipolar, manic? That can help a lot in determining what his problem may be.

he could be looking for attention...then agian, with a family history of mental illness. it could be a possibility, a check up with a doctor specialized in such syndromes and that is always a good thing.
i know i act a lil strange to my friends once in a while...and boy do i love the feel of a new keyboard on my face.
has he had a fit of depression or is his home life a little unstable? it could lead to some weird behavior.

His mother is generally paranoid of everything, they used to be a sort of family friendship.. My mom his mom, then his mom starting thinking my mom was going after her husband or something. To this day she still thinks that, I'm not allowed over there, she sits out by the windows peeping through the blinds, once she said that people were spying in the bushes. She said I was a top secret spy... She's nuts.

Also... hmm, I just have no idea what to talk about. Er, favorite webcomics?
