Jesus tap-dancing Christ, looks like I missed out on all the drama yesterday. Damn this spring break, it's really cutting into my NG time =P. At least I know what you were referring to Maus. I'll try to make this fairly quick.

I can understand how you feel. Even though I never got into drugs myself, I had many friends that did and I also helped them out. I did everything from loaning cash for more drugs to help them dispose of evidence when the cops were after them. Since I got away from that group I'm wiser from the experience and I've been able to help others from falling into that life. Whether you see it yet or not those experiences can help you be a teacher as someone who knows exactly what it was like. For me the main reason I didn't get involved with drugs is because I had an older friend who had been there, done that and convinced me not to start up.

Actually as a little side story, I was talking to an old friend a couple days ago and she was telling me how she had gotten out of the stoner/rebellious lifestyle but was still having money problems with getting her new life in order and most importantly getting an apartment with some of her clean friends. She doesn't know this yet but if she still doesn't have money for the deposit by the end of the month, she'll be getting a $300 check from me to cover it. I've been plotting this with her other friends ever since I found out and I've already told them to make sure she knows that this is a "don't worry about paying me back" kinda loan. So even though I made it out fine and others didn't, I'm still doing my part to help others do the same. You are a good guy FUNK and I'm sure you have your own way of helping out others.

Could be worse. There is a triangular wedge of bone between the last two bones of my pinky finger, pushing the last bone at a 45 degree angle towards my other fingers. It's like that on both hands... doesn't hurt, but it makes it a bitch to play guitar.

I went with my mother yesterday to visi my grandfather at the hospital, and during the visit I had to go to the cafeteria to get an iced beverage. After walking for five minutes through a maze of halls, I found the cafeteria and purchased my beverage. As I was heading to the door, I thought to get a bag of chips out of one of the vending machines. So I fish out my change, make my selection, and then I notice something truly odd; there were raised brail characters on the keypad of the vending machine.

How exactly is a blind person going to know what's in the vending machine in order to punch in the numbers corresponding to their selection?
