Why? I don't know, I've never sued anyone.

You act as if I don't have free will. It's not something you forced me into. And besides, to tell the truth, weed kind of did free my horizons up a little bit. I used to be a lot more shallow, but now that I'm a smoker, I can still be as quiet and thoughtful as I want to be, and still make friends. It's also something I enjoy doing and a way that I've met other people. It's not just a drug, it's also an ice-breaker. I met my current friends and my last relationship because I got into pot. If I hadn't, I probably wouldn't really have that many friends right about now. Admittedly, me and my group aren't exactly the most upstanding or most "likely-to-succeed" group of people, but we're still pretty decent guys that stick together and help each other out, and because of drugs, we're more open-minded, but we're not complete fuck-heads like the groups that do all kinds of shit. So, in the beginning and the end, it was my decision.

So, skunk and IP's leaving? Huh. To tell the truth, I've been planning to just stop visiting the BBS for a while. Back when I was constantly posting, I didn't have much of a social life and was at home most of the day. I was pretty miserable. But now that I have my ever-expanding circle of friends and acquaintances, and that I'm out every day having fun (whether it's drug-related or not, I always do), I don't really need the BBS as much as I used to anymore. I'll still be on AIM occasionally, but my Newgrounds days are pretty much over. And I've decided that with the exit a few people seem to be making over the shooter, I think I'll step out of the picture quietly, and leave this last post as an "epitaph" of sorts as my account sinks into disuse. Thanks for all the good times and support everyone's given me, and don't worry about what I do. Because somehow I know things will turn out fine in the end.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go get as much happiness out of life as I can. Bye.

Same here. My sister did not tease me, but damn was school tough for...about 8 years. I never went around shooting people, never was really violent, maybe an average amount, but not much. Though, I do have to admit, I have been effected by it, sigh, I just am not the person that I use to be.

Oh come on Funk, come out of this blue funk. Listen, you have a certain level of noteriety, people like you, and you have friends, just look around. I know I am usually not serious, but some things just need to be said. Now Funk, I have accomplished nothing in my life, I have no friends, and even if I did, they would just be superficial. I have not had an actual 'friend' in about 3 1/2 years. When I do have a 'friendship' I do not put much into it, I know why, I have usually been the outcast, the picked on, and having a father in the Navy doesn't help, damn moving.

Sure, I'm smart, but I haven't graduated college, and I'm seriously considering dropping out again this summer if I move out again

Yeah, I am smart to, or was, I withdrew from college, now the next step for me is going into the military, though, I am having trouble figuring out when I should go. I should go up to Ohio and see a lot of my family before I do.

I'm too frugal to be social, and too judgmental of those I meet when I DO go out. All my friends are flakes, when not altogether worthless.

You at least have your NG friends. Me, I am not a social person, I would always have a few friends in each class, but, they were usually the people near me or ones I already knew. Out of a class of near 600, I knew very little people.

What kind of person is that? Is that who I want to be? The weird uncle who never got married so he could devote his life to his failed musical career?

There is worse to be funk, trust me, I know some of the people who are worse off. Though I will not name them, for they would be pissed.

I'm not particularly sad about any of this, it's just fucking with me philosophically. I've always felt that individuals have a duty to improve one another's lives in a substantial way, and I don't feel I could be happy doing that.

Ah, improving yourself isn't exactly the best, but it feels good once you get there.

Damn you funk, I tried to cheer you up, and now I end up becoming depressed. Well, I guess I will go and do something.

It's not really like an "internet relationship" because we've acutally met eachother a couple times, and plan to do so a few more times this year. But yeah, a lot of people can't handle it, but he's worth it.

In my experience that uncle is the coolest because they help you to get away with everything, but are still responsible enough to make sure you grow up healthy.

Do you know how much it sucks working in a deli with a near deaf trainee who's helping me close every other night for the next two weeks and into the forseeable future? OMG It sucks balls!!!!! I like the guy, but he's a detriment to the process, especially since they've been cutting back on hours and adding new closing chores. At this point we have to break the rules for even two experienced employees to get done closing on time. I want to go back to the morning shift so badly.

Taking advantage of this situation like that is total bullshit. I can't believe I've ever defended Wade in the past. He doesn't have an ounce of credibility or respectibility. Shameless publicity shitfest. What a hellhole.

Wade is pro-NRA. It's obvious gun availability is one of the main issues here.

But it's not about NG's front page. Look at the entire content. Krinkels Madness, Depredation for example is a total gun-fest. Movies in all media (Video Games, TV, DVD, and on NG) idolize guns, shooting, killing.. NG is what, getting a reputation as a vent for hateful ppl..
Listen, locally we had debate about outlawing "Hate Speach". The main argument is about freedom of speach as freedom of expression. Even those who abhore the views of assholes (cult leaders etc) who get up and express their vile hate for some section of the communitee, they come to the conclusion that it's better to have hate aired in public than hidden beneath the surface. .

Better to be expressed hate, than repressed hate.

So a lot more cops and social-workers will have an eye on NG's problematic youth and their issues. It's a bubbling cesspit of raw emotions. Good on NG for being an outlet for venting. If no-body is listening, well that's another issue.

Adios Wraith, Skunk, IP or whomever the ex-NGers (slash) Daggerz are going?..

Sorry to hear it dissolved on you. I had a few internet relationships, and luckily I had one with who is now my wife. And as long as both sides are honest, I think internet relationships are a great thing. The biggest problem I have seen and heard about the relationships though is when it is based on lies whether you not be rich, you not really be a female, you send pictures from a porn site not a picture of yourself and so on. My wife and I played Everquest together for about 2 or 3 years before we ever met. 6 months after we met we were married, and we are doing great. Very few fights, none have really been that major, its a great thing. I wouldn't give up on meeting someone on the internet too soon. Just gotta be careful and it does take time. And then again don't rely soley on the internet as well.

But yeah, a lot of people can't handle it, but he's worth it.
Well, I am as happy for you as a person who does not know a person can be.

People definately can be worth the wait, and worth the stress of a long distance relationship. You just have to find the right person who is equally commited, which can be a problem. Well that, and don't get freaky and turn stalkerish. Got some real horror stories about internet relationships as well. And some really cool ones like my friend who's now justband flew from the netherlands to meet her, flew back, they couldn't stand being apart and now have been hapily married for 3 1/2 years now. And strangely I have around the same about of good and bad stories. But as Akassha <her screen name> said, "you only hear about and read the bad stuff on the news. But you hardly ever hear about the great things on the news." That is because as I have said many times before, bad news sells.

Good move with the seperate thread, fli. The lounge is for lounging.

And in order to avoid looking like he is capitalising off the media attention Wade should simply place a link to it off the front page, not have it like any other feature. It certainly shouldn't be getting the same treatment that a Foamy flash gets when it hits the Portal.

They're still in use but they have been in service for 20 years now so these could be old versions with 90's or even 80's technology.

Also good points. The technology of the F-16s we are selling is most likely not up to date, therefore, we would still have the edge. Something that people should not forget, is the F-22 Raptor, it is new, it is modern, and it will kick your ass, which is why the branches with aircraft want them, so that means we get rid of the old stuff, should we scrap it, no, get some money out of it.

How about fights on Everquest, ;) Yeah, to just use the internet is absurd. Though, anytime I have a female friend, my family always teases me about how we should get together, which is why I never bring friends to my house, and the fact that my family is just wierd.
