Hardware upgrades? Not with the Mini. You can replace the hard drive, and upgrade the memory, but it doesn't really have a sound card. Audio support is CPU/software driven.

I'd really suggest a desktop. They are more expensive, yes. But you don't want to do this via usb or firewire. Well... maybe firewire would be fine, but USB is too low bandwidth. With a G5, you could buy a PCI card with as many lines in as you want.

I'm nearing completion of the NG-theme beta. This means public testing will commence shortly.

I have bookmarked the profiles of everyone who has expressed interest. If your email is not listed in your profile, email me now, or miss out on the first release. I'll be sending out an email later this week asking for some specific info, such as browser version, OS version, etc. If you cannot supply this info, you won't be able to participate in the testing. I need that info to help solve system/version specific bugs.

Again, this is the BETA, which means it is still not complete. Some areas will look a lil odd, mainly the downloads window, the DOM inspector, that sort of stuff. Plugins like Chatzilla will undoubtably be a little off.
