Hey, I got serious flack when I was new. Of course, I was a pompous ass just as much back then, I just didn't have any excuse. And I used my *DAG light*. A lot. Only there wasn't a convention for it at the time.

Just to weigh in a bit myself on what Sween said, I agree with a lot of what he said, if you want this forum to in any way have fresh or new ideas, you have to let new people come in. Now, I understand we get idiots, and hey, pisses me off just as much as the next guy to see somebody come in here and act like a complete idiot and shit on people who try to point out why they're wrong in a mature manner.

But there's the keywords most people forget "mature manner" the biggest problem I see with this forum is that there's such a huge obssesion by most on being right, and just ripping to shreds anybody who disagrees with them. Exactly how do you think any forum or section will keep running if people come in here living in fear that they'll say something and 5 people will just rip them up for not having every single fact right (fuck, I'm a reg, and I live in fear of it, so imagine what a new person feels like)? I'm not saying you have to love everybody, or kiss ass, but I'm just saying that when your correcting someone, be more civil, don't just rip them up to rip them up. The fact is, these sections have a limited fan base, and it'll friggin die if some things don't change (I know of people who used to be here who will never come back here). Just my two cents.

Yes, in all honesty, this is the first forum I ever posted in. Before, I kind of ridiculed the idea of online forums, instead much preferring face-to-face interaction. Then some "stuff" happened and I decided to give it a shot.
