Man Jehova's witness have bad timing. I was playing games on NG, and no shirt on cause Ive just gotten out of bed and they came to my door. But I couldnt say anything funny cause first I have no shirt on and second they had like a 6 year old girl with them. Blast.

But see, I am shirtless, and it was three on one with their secret weapon, a little girl. If I were to do something infront of kids I would have a natrural fear of being fired or feel bad (I work with kids for a living, although not neccisarily that kid, I would feel like Im gonna get in shit for doing it from my boss, who in all reality wouldnt actually find out).

You can have fun messing with their heads, even if there is a kid with them. Example, find some audio of a girl moaning and play it before you go to answer the door. They will see you are rather preoccupied, and leave.

So I ban them for breaking various rules. And then they get mad at me for doing my job. WTF? But at least I wasn't prejudiced! I banned all according to their transgressions, with time added for repeat offenders and general sucktitude. Everyone who was banned was CLEARLY in violation of the rules.

Ah, well, I don't know..... most of the bans were only 1 or 2 days, because even I'm not nazi enough to hand out three days for posting in a spam thread on someone who doesn't suck. Now, for people with spam in their records..... that's a different story.

Funk, you were absolutely correct for locking that thread and doling out bans.

Stat Topics aren't allowed. Everyone on NG (potentially) has a profile for a reason. No need to have a "Post your popularity here!" thread. Level up (blam/protect or experience) threads and threads about how many posts you have are also not allowed.

It's black and white. It's in the rules. And ignorance of the rules is no excuse, especially when it's a sticky topic at the top of every page. And as far as I know, there's no statute of limitations on the rules.

Just because you didn't get to the topic earlier doesn't mean that the rules can be flaunted.

I don't hate you, I agree that the topic should have been locked, although almost all the mods had seen it already, and let it go. :\ So it looked like ban-baiting, even though I know that's not what it was. But I think your efforts would have been more appreciated had you lock/banned the two threads that had links posted in them that were Trojan/virus sites, rather than freaking out over a spam topic. It's like you patted yourself on the back for a job well done, and didn't bother to look around for anything else that might have broken the rules. Spam is annoying, trojans and viruses kill computers. Luckily, another user alerted the mods to them, so Ron took care of it.

I'm not complaining about my ban, just pointing out why a lot of users felt it was a bit harsh and uncalled for.

Nah Funk, the BBS does need some cleaning up to do. People posting one word replies just clogs up the forums, so they need to be taken care of. Now get out there and start banning.
