I've just discovered something a bit fucked up. I've learned that one of my friends (Joel), the one I trusted above all others, has been spreading rumors about me at my old school and slowly turning my friends against me. I just found his little web of deceit, and this rabbit-hole goes quite a way down. What makes me feel worse, however, is that he's been manipulating me as well. He got tired of me hanging around, so he made up the excuse that I did something bad to him (untrue), and convinced my friends that "they didn't want me around anymore". I should have seen this coming, as he did this to another guy I know, and I participated in it, but hindsight's 20/20 as they say.

I found all this out from another disenfanchised friend named Nick, who was kicked out by the group, even though he's known these other guys (not Joel, the ones who are being manipulated) since grade-school. Joel's that good. He's been slowly twisting all of us to suit his needs, while out of all of us, he would look like the kind of guy you would trust. The only reason I didn't find out about this earlier is because I'm going to a different school, so he decided to go ahead with his plan, figuring that since they've cut all contact with me, I'd never find out. He's also extremely hypocritical, in that he's associating with people that look down on us, when he's the one that told us that they were bad news in the first place (preps, yuppies, jocks, etc.) He just didn't want us to find out.

What can I do? I can't tell everyone, or confront him, since he would deny it. And as it's my word over his, and since this rabbit-hole goes a long way down, I would be shunned by all. I only plan to tell one other person, and she's someone I trust somewhat. I just hope she isn't twisted around his finger too.

I figure the best thing I can do is avoid them, and it should be real easy since I don't go to that school anymore. I just hope that my old friends figure out what he's doing to them, and that he slips up eventually. That's what he needs, is someone to destroy his twisted sense of reality. But if he comes to this school and starts twisting the people here against me, I swear to God, I'll make him regret it.

Funny thing is, most of the people that were my friends actually hated me at first. Then they got to like me, and eventually they hated me again. Except Nick. He hated me the most out of all of them at first, and now he's virtually my best (and only) friend.

Plus, friends are supposedly "everything" in high-school. But with my friend count at 1 1/2 , I've discovered it doesn't really matter that much. Ah, fuck 'em.

I tolerate my family more than I love them and such. It's always been kind of like that. I guess it's just my lot in life to be a bit of a loner, then. I don't really mind. In fact, I think I'm growing to like my independence from societal norms quite a bit.

True, but it depends. If my friend is really upset, I don't mind. However, if they act like that all the time, then now. There is a loophole there because your significant other SHOULD be there for you when you are upset. I mean, I was there for her, among other people, when they needed me the most. However, seldom does anyone return the favor.

The best tactic is counter-terrorism. Try to get together with some of your old friends and manipulate them right back. If you can't do that get together and become friends all over again.

I feel kinda bad. I let my girlfriend paint my toes because I just didn't care about anything last night. It doesn't look bad, but it's not me.

I went to my girlfriend's church this morning to be with her and listen to my friends' duet. The male's last name is Potter and the sermon was from Jeremiah, specifically the passage about the potter. I saw every teen and young adults' shoulders twitching with laughter, especially when she kept talking about pots.

Not all people are assholes. Right now it appears that way because you're still in highschool, which is probably the worst place in the world you can be. Yes, there everyone is a self absorbed prick. They care more about how fast they can run a 40 than whether or not their mother lives or dies. Most of them don't know what it means to be compassionate because they've never needed compassion themselves. Some aren't like that even in school, but a lot of them will grow out of it later when they are hit with life and they realize what it means to be human. It takes time and patience, before people will appear gentler and wiser. Many individuals will never change, but not all people are assholes.

While i'll admit i've never been with a woman who ISN'T like what you described, at least, once i got to know her, i also don't think that every woman can possibly be that way.
And then again, maybe you don't understand them. That's always a possibility. No relationship is goign to work if both sides aren't communicating. That also takes some time to realize. Both people have to recognize something ins't working and want to work on fixing it. A relationship isn't just there for support and sex, it's also like anyother friendship, and it has to be cultivated, balanced, mutual. I'm rambling.

That's an absolute i can't agree with. Family may be there for you sometimes. And then again, they may fuck you and kick you out of the house for dating a girl when you're 18 yrs old or something else equally stupid. That's the thing. If he was as good as he believed, then he would easily get away with this. But the fact he forgot this part shows that he isn't quite as detailed about this as would be led to believe. If he was, I wouldn't have made these posts. I'd be completely unaware. His obsessive need to be the alpha-male is going to fuck him up some time. He's actually been home-schooled most of his life, this is 3rd year in an actual school I believe.
