I live in Ohio, a major swing state, that's also home to the gay mecca of the Midwest (Columbus.) DOMA and copycats of it have been a major political battleground for years. The politicians in Columbus understand that Ohio is still a conservative state for the most part, but they also understand that the gay communities have given back a lot to live here, by creating and supporting the new arts movements here, and regentrifying old neighborhoods. Ohio used to be a state with equal rights laws for gays. Our current governor (Taft) allowed it to 'sundown,' meaning that he didn't re-sign it. Now we can be fired from our job, kicked out of our apartments, etc. for being gay. Fantastic. So yeah, I vote. It's important. I won't even get into what happened when City Council passed a health benefits package for city employees that covered same-sex partners. o_O
Fun Fact: We had to register to vote to pass a class our senior year. All of us that turned 18 before Sept. 1994 were registered sometimes MONTHS before we turned 18. It felt so cool. :D

It means he's just now starting highschool, and has to go through 4 more years of public schooling (including this year) before he can go to college. I think it's about year 9 according to what you've presented.

Why are you yanks so CONFUSING? Here's how my school system goes.

We're confusing? Just what does "Tibblety Bobbildy Pip" mean anyway?

No only am I BLASTED, but I just squirted liquid albuterol(a liquid breathing treatment, normally taken by vaporising and inhaling) in my eye, just to see what it would do. I also put some in my bongwater.

When I was your age I'd get all fucked up and play with a can or butane lighter fluid and a lighter.

Can you say flame thrower?

However, if we didn't have weed, we'd just get some gasoline and charcoal starter with some glass bottles, and blow up molotov cocktails in the drainage ditch. Ends up gasoline floats on water, so you can spread a trail of fire all down the duct, and since it's moslty recessed or underground, noone ever sees it.

Good times.

I've really settled down since then, though, and now I spend my time with books and hardcore metal. And weed. And the internet. Damn I miss my motorcycle......

America is more confusing. It makes my head hurt... And we dont call our Public Schools, State Schools. The ones we call "Public Schools" should really be called "Private Schools". You have to pay to get in, and aren't run by the government.

Thought I'd stop by again on my break from studying.

Wraith, college is much better than high school, except for the finals, I learned that just now, having to study for them like mad. Don't take summer classes.

And I have been banned once for making quite a funny joke on the "Kerry has a big chin" thread. I think Funk was in a bad mood, which leads me to the next topic.

Funk was probably in a bad mood from partying too much the day before. Strive to be in a constant state of inebriation Funk, if anyone can do it, you can.

And Camaro, both will leave you with regret and some weird disease, I'll bet.

Ooh! Now some real politics!

Anyways, I was watching C-Span (yes I was freakin bored) and an interesting point was brought up. Do the American people know enough about politics to make a good decision in an eletion. And by politics I mean real politics, i.e. the issues, and not the mud. It was also fun hearing people call up and try to defend that the Average American knows politics.

To tell you the truth, I don't think the average American even voted last election. The average ones that make up that 40-60% are pretty apathetic and, if necessary, easily manipulated.

I have no idea what I'm trying to say. Maybe I should go to sleep...

So long…so very long now…

How long…Can't remember…almost don't care anymore.

I remember…remember a master…

I lost my master…I was left all alone in the world. I miss my master, that's why I howl every full moon.

What's my name…

If you still were alive…Why, master…why aren't you here with me??

I'm just wandering from day to day, I have no purpose. No mission. No master.

...life...what is.....

Well, it got my blood boiling. But the reason behind that, was the general overview of the whole war and movement. Probably.

The documentary itself, was quite good in my opinion. There were, I believe, five or so former members who narrated through out it. It was very factually based. Most of them were damn sorry about how things had gone. A few expressed regret that things hadn't gone better. Yes, I'd def. recommend seeing it.

Studying is a contingency plan if you fuck up in a class, you study really hard to make up for not gonig to the lectures once the entire quarter so that when your parents ask what happened you can legitly say you don't know, I mean you did study before all of the tests...

teehee, I started off a class last semester by skipping the first two quiz / tests. Luckily, I got my shit together, and did alright. And I did do some reviewing for acouple classes..

I forgot that I've been a bit more diligent at college... A bit.

I stalked my roommate online, Apparently he's a junior at the communications school. I wonder if he's 21 ^_^

I know, I know. I just want to have a moderately decent time during high-school. I know I'll have some good memories from freshman year, but if the rest of the years are even remotely salvagable, I'll be happy. Plus, I have NO idea where I want to go to college, save I want to major in psychology. But even that little bit of direction is probably more guided than everyone else.

At the rate of posting yesterday (61 posts), we will surpass NG's Biggest Topic in about 5 months.

The ASM started later than the RLT, but has already well exceeded the RLT. Odds are, that, unless some sort of intervention or locking of the ASM occurs, the RLT won't surpass it.

The RLT is the biggest unlocked topic (aside from clubs and crews) currently.
