I just thoguh about smoething... when's the last time anyone talked about politics in this thread? Going by the same logic as the one used to lock up another similar thread, this topic dosen't belong in the politics forum.

Well, considering you're new here, I'll give you an update:

READ THE TITLE!

Where in the title does it say we all must discuss politics here? This thread is for unrelated discussion between regulars in the forum. So, in it's very essence, this thread is related to the forum.

The thread you're talking about was spam. Pure and simple spam. It served no purpose except to take up space.

And I locked that thread you're talking about because it was pure spam. There is a difference.

Hmm... How about this,

Anyone think Kant was right when he said
"Teachers of jurisprudence, when speaking of rights and claims, distinguish in a cause the question of right (quid juris) from the question of fact (quid facti), and while they demand proof of both, they give to the proof of the former, which goes to establish right or claim in law, the name of deduction. Now we make use of a great number of empirical conceptions, without opposition from any one; and consider ourselves, even without any attempt at deduction, justified in attaching to them a sense, and a supposititious signification, because we have always experience at hand to demonstrate their objective reality. There exist also, however, usurped onceptions, such as fortune, fate, which circulate with almost universal indulgence, and yet are occasionally challenged by the question, "quid
juris?" In such cases, we have great difficulty in discovering any deduction for these terms, inasmuch as we cannot produce any manifest ground of right, either from experience or from reason, on which the claim to employ them can be founded.

There, does that make this thread acceptable now?

Look, pop, its bad enough that they got rid of that wonderful "other" thread (it still hurts to say its name), but this thread is almost as good. No reason to lose both, right? Unlike some people, I refuse to be spiteful about the whole ordeal. I think of it more of an exchange. "that" thread, for the DAG forum, which runs faster, has better features, and otherwise kicks the living crap out of the "other" thread hands down. I only regret not having a constant link to it on the NG BBS.

Although, technically I always considered intergroup politics to still be politics, even when aforementioned groups only exist on a bbs. so then by my book the "other" thread wasnt spam or flame, but in fact political, just in a non-traditional sense.

BTW, Mikehrt isnt my twin brother, but we did come out of the same vagina, although 4 years apart.
