I've watched alot of you grow from n00bs into 1337 Hax0rz, watched your opinions change and grow more complex, and then watched you get bored and mock n00bs.

I've watched you grow from a n00b but I haven't seen your opinions get more complex. If anything you've got stupider.

Bah, I've been here far too long. I'll probably stop with my current vaguely regular visits (I got a job at a pub, the hours mean I'm usually knackered) when I start Uni, but we'll see.

mmmm. nub wine, circa 2004. Judging from some of the people around, it might just be tasty. I'll hold off, because they do usually get better with age.

Old school PWNage. Take note, all you neo-Regs, the splendor which was the War. A handful of posters, whose 1337ness rivaled that of Teh Shrikey and Teh FUNKy, waging a battle of wits spanning an entire forum.

In this post-Apocalyptic Age, only a few remnants remain of what was once a glorious empire, ravaged by the powers of the n00b hordes. The old Regs destroyed, only the diamond core of Regs survived, mainly by becoming Mods. Only they survive to tell the tale of those ancient days....

But the Reconstruction is over. The dead have returned to life, and ancient Powers stir once more....

Oh yeah, and Goat Stain is back, too.......

Go from bad to worse? Well, duh. Don't leave them next to a source of heat (ie. the girl users), keep them well-stored (Don't let them out of Politics. Anyone remember when The_Enforcer went to General? Madness). And also make sure you know what kind of wine they are (liberal, conservative, authoritan, commie, socialist, etc).

And on another note, I've been getting guitar lessons. Classical, as my parents want. It's really not so bad learning classical solo guitar. Also, my teacher say I'm taking it all in faster than anyone he's seen. I learned to read music in one lesson, while in any other case it would have taken three, maximum. (Time signatures, etc.) Dunno what that had to do with anything. But right now, after my 3rd lesson, I'm learning to play Romance Anonimo, and I'm trying to throw a little bit of vibrato in there to spice it up.

And I am so not ever going back to General! God, that was a nightmare...

Strangely enough, I go through little politics debates with my mom. One was about the draft. I said I don't want to go to war over something I don't believe in, she said you owe it to your country to go and enlist, even if you don't agree with the war. Funny thing is, she was a Socialist when she was my age. And they call her a liberal today...

I've started looking into starting my own business, since I already have most of the training and most of the tools for it. I am gonna be starting my own first aid company, doing things like special events and sports teams (rep teams or leagues/tournaments, not like the NHL). My biggest problem is coming up with a good name for it. Any ideas?

I've found that names are the hardest things to come up with. If I were you, I'd look at some successful companies's names and get an idea of what to call yours.

I'll check on the status for you. You'll know if you're in when it happens, of course it all depends on Dredd's availability.

Rugby- put some of you're sig girls on the bandages and such, or males if you're handling females. Work along those lines to come up with a name.

Hey, those topics were innovative, damnit. Sticking to relevant issues leads to the monotony we're currently under. I remember threads advocating the invasion of Canada doing suprisingly well in that period also.

You say idiocy, I say fun.

Yeah, and apparently stick their own slant on it too, they only seem to want to talk about the parts of it that worked for them, and not about the stupidity that was involved in it as well, the backstabbing, the paranoia, the sending of spys....

I was always laying spin on things back then, just like I do now. Laying spin on the past is what being a Reg is all about! On a BBS, all that truly exists is rhetoric. The old days were about linguistic manipulation of facts to create any argument you wanted. If we wanted to be a dry, facts only BBS, we would have chosen a different site to post on, eh?

BTW, nobody ever sent any "spies". That was all rumor started because BWS's sign-up date was the same as the day the DAG messages thread closed. The closest thing ever sent to a spy was Jonas, and that spurred the end of the war and the reconciliation between DAG and PC.

I have no idea what you consider "backstabbing", but I was in the thick of things, and I never saw any.

This has been your dose of the truth for the day...sorry FUNK...I just don't like when people rewrite history to suit their own views of it.
