I'll be understanding to the users, because I was once harboured strong anti-mod sentiments, but I've come to see the error of my ways, and I'm proud to stand shoulder to shoulder with Andrea, as opposed to grovelling at her feet.

Now that there are so many "great" mods to look over all of us I wanna know why this thread is still open? Don't give me the usual lame excuses, this forum is for politics not just the Politics Crew.

Because this thread was actually begun before the PC.
This thread was meant, as it's name implies, it's a lounge for the regulars. Anyone can post just about anything, and it's not restricted by group.
We're not allowing any furthur ones, and this thread was hard fought for, as it was around the time of the anti-mod sentiment increase.

These are not related. Why?
1)The DAG members in question knew they were going to be banned for posting in that thread when freak asked them to stop.
2)The DAG thread was shut down because it had degenerated into flames and little else.
3)We didn't ask to be mods. We were suggested and chosen by the NG admins. At least that's how I understand it. And if you're going to imply that the DAG is in trouble now that we're mods, all I can say to that is:

PC members, DAG members, and everyone else:
Follow the rules, or be banned.

I'm not going to play favorites, but I will be blindly impartial. I like being a mod, but I am not going to let something as silly as an online club blur my judgement.

Now that there are so many "great" mods to look over all of us I wanna know why this thread is still open? Don't give me the usual lame excuses, this forum is for politics not just the Politics Crew.

And this thread is for all non-forum related posts. It is not for PC, it is not for DAG, it is for everyone.

I like the idea of this thread, and I'd hate to see people think that just because the PC started it (before there was a PC, mind you), that no one else can join in.

This thread is here as a type of "general" topic, because most "regulars" of the Politics forum don't like to post in the General forums.

I think it's been about 2 weeks since moderator recommendations were made and users looked over for consideration.

I don't know, it just happened all at the same time. I registered for some other boards in the past week , to try and find something less boring than the general forum. Geez. I hope we pick up some new people for general soon, because damn. Repeats itself. Not fun.

I came here a few times in the last weeks. It's hard for me to find much to talk about here, because I'm canadian, and really don't care much for researching political facts and all that, and since most of the times topics here are about Bush and the U.S. policies and all that.
I'll be watching :)

Okay Shrike I am sure you know I am aware of all of this. No one ever said the PC was not welcome under the DAG messages. Most of the PC members took it as a place to talk bad about the DAG members because of the topic title. The point is DAG Messages is now closed but the new issue is why do people like el foka get to be mods. I am sure alot of people agree with me when I say I have no doubt that you'll be a fair mod but I am doubtful in the performance some others will show in the future.
