So, I was perusing some General threads and now I'm curious - is there some underground war against LegendaryFrog or something?

Seems like many people hate his guts. Is this jealousy or is there something behind it?

People will hate anyone who achieves any amount of success greater than their common fellows. I like LF's flashes (not all of 'em, given), and I like IWP (same case). People call IWP a talentless hack, yet he keeps crunching out movies that somehow make the Weekly Top 20.

People here blammed my hypnotoad movie, and for what? It wasn't a free blam, it wasn't just slapped together, it was FUNNY, damnit. Of course, it was just a quick laugh that was only funny if you've seen a few select episodes of Futurama, and know of Obey Giant (http://www.obeygiant.com). It's not like the lousy 10k it used would have wasted bandwidth and driven NG into ruins.

And hell, some people really... really... ... enjoyed "Bananaphone", a movie so devoid of plot/humor/whatever that it could only enjoy success here.

The point is: everyone is a critic. We've all got differing views, differing humors. What one user finds objectionable, another finds hilarious.

I'd hazard a guess that somewhere out there... OMG THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO HATE NEWGROUNDS.

That's generally because the offending users are the same people, just in different accounts sometimes. Besides, many of the users on the board can hold their own against idiots. Attention is their objective, and when they don't get it, they just disappear.

No, it's just simply how things work around here, you politics folks just aren't as used to it because you don't get people like cannibis that often, but it happens in general all the time. Some dumby comes in, spams the place up, pisses everyone off, is popular for a week, maybe a mod and then admins get involved, maybe they just wander off on their own, but either way, they disappear, never to be heard from again, and they are quickly forgotten.
