Because I dont have a stack, and I dont have a studio. I've got my guitar plugged into 400x15x2W worth of Amplifiers and Pedals, and i've got my computer plugged into the 400W amplifier.

They then go through two 3' Floor Speakers with 3 cones in each. I have (when i'm playing my loudest) the Head amp on 1.5, the Handbag 15W amp on 2, and my pedal on 2.

I've got my Ibanez Screamer Pedal on full Gain, and my Epi Les Paul with the Treble on FULL (using bridge pickup) and my amp on full gain again.

Cost of 1000W Marshall stack, with 2 speakers+Head Amp. = £1000

Cost of Ibanez Pedal = £30 (£80 New)
Cost of Handbag 15W Amp = £10
Cost of Speakers = £10
Cost of Head Amp = £FREE
TOTAL = £50

Cost of Professional Mising Software = £FREE
Cost of Computer, to Mix stuff on = £FREE

I dont pay money for things. That's why I dont have a stack and a studio. I've got stuff compiled from other things, which sounds better, and is cheaper.

RSS feed viewers are awesome. I dll'd one, thinking I could use it for my site, but... Turns out I didn't know what the hell I was dll'ing. But it's all gravy!

Still looking for a news ticker type thing for the site though, albeit one that doesn't come from fox news >:(

Dude, try not to set your source (pedal) any lower than 5 if you can help it (or the unity mark if youre using good stuff). That's a nice powerful amp if you can hear it that low, but you might want to use a preamp if it's really that sensitive.

Dude, you have a computer. You have no excuse to not have a studio. All a hard disc multitrack recorder is is a computer hard drive in a different box. I mean, yeah, you don't have a board, but unless you're recording live, you really don't need one. I'm a live guy, so I'm big into boards and mics, but they aren't strictly necessary.

Hum, interesting thing I read lately? The guy who wrote the American pledge was a socialist, and originally wanted to include the word 'equality' in it.

Of course, that scares proper capitalists, so that was taken out. Then, we all know, god was slipped in in the 50's.. If was also modified in the 20's - forget what it was though..

I told you Mini Coopers were fast

"A Belgium motorist was left stunned after authorities sent him a speeding ticket for travelling in his Mini at three times the speed of sound.
The ticket claimed the man had been caught driving at 3380 kph (2,100 mph) - or Mach 3 speed - in a Brussels suburb, a Belgian newspaper reported."

Aww, what happened to my poor redskank topic. I let the bastard die >:(

Please do not insult me by saying Pe**** in my presence. It's a Technics VG-4.

I dunno. Sometimes I have it on 3. The guitar's on 10 though. I like to have all the levels on my amps and stuff as similar as possible, otherwise you get that awful sound that cant be described when one's overloading and being amplified. When i'm playing clean, I have to turn the pedal off and the guitar goes down to about 1. I've got a Les Paul though, so the Rhythms set to clean levels, and my Treble is at 10-10... *Drools*

Leave it to a guitar player to love the screaming trebs, man. I find a mid cut works better, because it has equal bass to treb. Lots of treb and bass= crunchy goodness.

Course I love the screaming trebs... Everything's set to equal bass and treble though, and i cut OFF the high distortion because it sounds crap. It's only the Guitar that has the Treble Boost.

Its a baby! I wonder what it will be when it grows up? Sorry, I always say that about little amps.....

If my amp actually grows, i'm getting worried.

Nah, I dont need a studio. It's a bit annoying trying to record and equalise on eJay, but it's good, it just takes time for the mixing. It was going to cost us about £300 to get a single out, but I'm just making them all the members of my band come round and record their parts one at a time, then I mix it myself. Doesn't sound bad.

I know someone is bound to laugh when I post this *cough cough *bcc* cough cough * judge funk* cough cough*, but I play also. I don't have a picture of myself playing live, but I do own one of these (in black), along with a 30 watt RMS amp. I wouldn't mind having a 20 or 30 watt Marshall though...

For those curious, I have a DOD Ice Box Chorus and a Danalectro Phaser.

We wouldn't laugh. Unless you sucked, in which case, we would. But that's a nice guitar. Better than FenderStrats, which suck GIANT MONKEYS BOLLOCKS. I'd be so utterly embarassed if I was seen dead with one of those, that i'd... DIE. Again... And if anyone at school brings a fender guitar anywhere near me, I feel this sudden compulsion to hit them.

I like my Les Paul a bit too much, I think.

I guess you can't be too hardcore at the end of your shows with your les paul, hmm bum? With a strat, you can smash it, light it on fire, etc.

Dude, if you had a true paul that didn't sound good, you would have to be unmercifully slain. I have a:

Mapex venus series with 12" 13" and 16" toms, zildjian zxt crash ride with a zildjian scimitar ride and a 16" titanium crash MOUNTED ON TOP OF a 16" china. This is extended with a set of roto toms and the Janus clutched double bass hi hat system and a Ludwig vintage aluminum snare. For show I like to mount blacklights under all the drums, so the heads appear to glow. Then I summon forth the powers of FUNK and proceed to wail ass with my thunderous doublebass+stutterroll style.

Yes, I smell your fear. Smells like.... buffalo wings.

I also own two SM57 shure mikes, one for my snare, and one for my vocalist. Sadly, all my other mikes aren't all that good (no name drum package mikes, they turn the trick, by they're just not SM57's). I own two octava condensers: good mikes, but cheap as all hell (50$ US for a condenser is NOTHING).

All this runs through my delicious and wonderful Mackie1604 VLZ PRO, with customizable rear patch bay pod and rack mount (which is bad ass for a 16 track board). That runs through an Alesis 3630 compression unit (MMMmm.... sweet sonic control) into a Tascam CDRW700 cd recorder. I also have a shitty little effects processor made by that P***** company. Shut up, I didn't pay for it.

I also have a um... shitty P**** word keyboard amp for a reference monitor, and an acient Kustom bass stack and head.

Oh yeah, and wires. Lots and LOTS of little wires. It's a fucking spaghetti monster, man.

(PS Bum, if you're recording, it's a studio. It might be a shitty project studio, but it's still a studio. You can officially brag now.)
