New cars these days are boring and unfun to drive in winter...What with their studded snow tires and traction control systems.

Back in high school I drove my 96 sable to my girlfriend's house, 25 miles away on back roads on bald tires in some pretty nasty snow storms. I'd be sideways every single trip at least twice on this one road the county refused to plow for some unknown reason.

But this stupid 07 Camry has a fucking traction control system and beefy winter tires. I tried spinning donuts in snowy unpaved parking lot at a ski mountain (I think I was with Timmy) and the stupid traction control made that endeavor fruitless.

Around where I live, there's this fairly sizable lake that freezes over completely in the winters if they're any kind of winter at all. Kids then buy wrecked up cars and race on the ice for fun. I did it too a few times, and it honestly is good entertainment if you have money to spend on cars and gas. If you expect to last through the entire winter with only one car you're either poor or a perhaps a bit too scared to be really fit for propelling rusted steel vehicles at ridiculous speeds on ice.

Also.

The Dark Tower.

Anyone read the comics?

We came upon this menu in NOLA and it cracked us up.

I also find this hilarious whereas it should be bothering me.

I wonder how long Thanksgiving leftovers last. This is the year we made a ton, and the year everyone, myself included, decided to graze. I couldn't eat very much. Whatever the case, it means I don't have to go to the store for some time. On the down side, I'll be tired of turkey and mashed potatoes before too long. The stuffing will be gone quickly since it's my favorite side dish.

The first two hardcovers yes...which is odd since you'd figure I'd have gotten the third and fourth by now since the first two cover material I already knew from the books while the third presents a story that was NOT in the original seven books.

I bought the third hardcover I believe as a birthday present to myself a year ago. Shit. Was so cash. I don't read many comics, but this was something else entirely. Now I honestly think King's Magnum Opus would be suited better as a huge arc of comicbooks rather than several novels.

City of Heroes/Villains from NCSoft, mainly. I alternate between it and stuff here on NG. You?

We had a pre-thanksgiving dinner thing here last Sunday (21st) for my brother and two sisters and all their spouses, that way on thanksgiving day they could each go to have thanksgiving dinner with their spouses parental units and the like. So by the time turkey day actually arrived, I was sick to death of Turkey... which is why I FLIPPED when we went to my Great Uncle's house near Adams, Tennessee, and he had a big plate of hotwings alongside all the usual Thanksgiving food.

I had to work Black Friday, and the weekend. It was busy, but it wasn't as nuts as it has been in year's past, which was odd....

But you know what's worse than having a cute girl actually catch you checking her out, and her getting offended for it? Having your BOSS catch you checking a girl out, and him giving you guff about it. I was so embarrassed I wanted to crawl under a rock and hide for the rest of the day... which I think was his intention.

In an atempt to break the slowly emerging pattern where I dissapear for a few days only to to come back and take a cheap shot at you I'm just going to question your choice of the word "guff." Did that ruffian get you up in a dander? He's fortunate you didn't challenge him to fisticuffs. Bully!

bleh. Been busy working on what would be my opening sequence for my cartoon (still have no idea what kind of music I want for a theme song). decided I would browse a few openings from other shows and I found the CHEESIEST opening EVER!

it kinda fills me with a sense of relief that nothing I can possibly come up with can be that cheesy.

I take that back, my original opener idea was to take the 2 main characters and they both recite poetry each doing 1 line at a time, both poems meshing together to make a single duet style poem. as the opening animation played out. Of course,

that idea was scrapped... for now. I might just work on it and see what I can come up with. 2 people from 2 very different backgrounds reciting their own piece of poetry that when put together can form a single poem. that could be a fun idea.

also, the elf has a name now. Madoshi.

Can I help it if I stop and stare when a fine example of feminine beauty walks by with a rear-end similar Keyra Augustina wearing a pair of jeans that look like they've been painted on? No, I can't. Maybe I should be a little more discreet about it instead of doing something like this....

I don't know if i should be overjoyed or pissed off at the moment.

My PSP croaked on me about a month ago. I bought it used at a Gamestop, i never had one before so I couldn't tell if something was amiss. apparently I was sold a defective PSP. it worked for about 2 months and died. the whole time it worked i loaded kinda slowly. I figured this was normal for PSPs since I never had one. I tried to send it in to Sony for repairs but the cost was more than I was willing to pay to send it there, have em "fix" it, then send it back to me, no with guarantee the thing will work properly for more than a month.

I paid $140 after taxes for the thing, it didn't even come with a game.

Today at walmart I see a BRAND SPANKING NEW PSP.... ***WITH GAME*** for $129.

needless to say i scooped up the last one. Also, the PSP alone was $169 (I'm still scratching my head on that one) Not sure why adding Karate Kid and Little Big Planet would REDUCE the price by $40 but I'm not gonna question it. Also the 1 year replacement plan is $10, an obvious deal "just in case"

if you see an ipod touch for that low, buy one for me! I keep trying to watch the prices of those babies around the sales times like now, and they are always only like $5 or $10 off at most. Apple must have every retailer by the balls. I got a droid 2 from best buy yesterday for $89 (not even verizon, with my upgrade discount, was offering it for less than $139 on their online store) and that puppy is $599 full priced.

it's the time for christmas sales! Black Friday isn't just 1 or 2 hours of great deals anymore. Walmart and friends are hurting for sales and the recession has meant earlier and longer sales with deeper discounts. Dude, some retailers are offering free shipping without a $50 minimum or something for online sales.

Don't you hate it when people leave their shopping carts in the parking lot taking up spaces and even have them in the middle of the rows so you have to drive around them.

I do but what's really been bothering me is when people take up two or more parking spaces.

Did some of my Christmas shopping today. Only have 2 1/2 more people to buy for. I say half because I bought something for my fiance but I think I need to get him one more thing.

Snowstorm over the next couple of days...when I'm driving a different car. What's really bad is I hate driving Dad's car, but need to tomorrow to pick up Mom and Dad. It's the only car with enough room for their luggage. A car I hate in a snowstorm. Great. Normally I'd stay home in a snowstorm, but I have class Monday morning and a group meeting tomorrow.

Around here they hire young guy's to round them up & bring them to the door area.

Which is a lot cheaper then leaving them out & about...when it snows , the plows don't even slow for shopping carts , they just get plowed up along withthe snow !

I'll tell ya what pisses me off about holiday shopping. the sumbitches with a full buggy LOADED with stuff gets into the 10 or 20 items or less lines.

what pisses me off even more is the managers and cashiers who lack the cajones to tell them they need to get in the regular lines that the express lines are for those who only have a few items.

I used to do that, once upon a time. I did it so much I'd actually wear the treads off the bottoms of my boots from pushing whole lines of carts across the parking lot.

When I worked at Target we always used to make the high school kids go and get the carts since no one else wanted to do it.

We're in the middle of a snowstorm here but I'll need to drive to class tomorrow in the worst of it, in Mom's car and not mine, since it takes the second coming of Katrina for schools and universities here to delay classes, let alone cancel. On the plus side, my car should be fixed tomorrow.

It has been raining off & on since last night here...at times torential rains & winds up over 100kms. Its nice out though about 10 degrees above freezing, so a day for shorts, if your a Canadian that is.

Proteas, I never did that job when I was a teenager, there were much more lucrative ways to make money... maybe they weren't 'legal' but you sure could make a lot of money ~;)

seriously, makes Gina Gershon (Queen CSL herself in her prime) look like a rottweiler.

Now that I've classed up the place yet again, how 'bout those Pats?
