IF you recheck my reply...you'll see I mentioned damage/fun, because I'm not judgemental in that way, what you consider fun is different ...OR could be quite different from what I consider fun.
that applies for damage/harm as well.
But I did notice I warned you & no where did i mention a helmit & protective gear couldn't be used.
FYI, I also learned from an old Bosun I worked with that in his day, they dipped the monkey's fist in deck paint. They would do it several times...increased the size, & if you used a 'bright color' it was easier to see coming at you.
In Canada, I am friends with a couple of checkers & longshoreman (we went to school together) they told me when foreign ships pull in & the heaving lines come at them with monkey fists, they cut them off & toss them in the drink.
They are not allowed up here & when your canaling from the St Lawerence River to the Great Lakes, they will cut them off as well.

I have played so much City of heroes in the last week that I have strained the tendon between my left hand middle and pointer fingers. You know, right where the two fingers join the palm? Yeah. Hurts to stretch out across the keyboard very far, and my pointer finger knuckle feels like it's been stuffed with cotton. FUN FUN.

I was just messing around, more. Chill.
I was so bored at work today that I wandered to the hardware department and priced various bits to make a "hammer" to attach to the rope instead of tying a monkey's fist knot. An eye bolt with about 30 fender washers on it, held on with a two machine nuts. Just thread the rope through the eye of the bolt itself, and tie off. Costs about $10 or $12 in parts, and weighs close to a pound.
FYI, I also learned from an old Bosun I worked with that in his day, they dipped the monkey's fist in deck paint. They would do it several times...increased the size, & if you used a 'bright color' it was easier to see coming at you.
Not a bad idea.

Does sitting alone on a work night drinking straight from a bottle of J&B Rare make me an alcoholic or can hallucinations technically be counted as people?

Thirteen days from my 21st birthday, which I think my most of my family is looking forward to the most, mostly my sister, she would like to give me lots of alcohol and take me to "places".

There was a woman on Oprah today (channel surfing after I got off work today) who was talking at length about this documentary she had mad. She was originally a He who was the all-star quarterback in Highschool, got all the girls, etc etc. The documentary was about her change, coming out to her family as both being transgendered and gay (has a girlfriend), and going to her 20th anniversary Highschool reunion and reuniting with the football team. Really interesting.
But it occurred to me just now (almost three hours after the fact) that this individual really is the personification of that joke I told a while back; she was a lesbian trapped in a man's body.
Think about it.

I just started a movie 3 days early & will be spendign the next 4 weeks in Lunenburg.
Its 2 hours away & when you work minimum 12 to 15 hour days....4 hours of travel is too far.
So they'll be putting us up.
I'm suppose to be in a small motel & there's no internet :''(
But hopefully I'll have time to pop in on the week ends.
We load tomorrow at PS Atlantic , We prep our first location for shooting on Monday, on Friday & Monday we start shooting
Be careful folks, hope you all have a great summer,
I'll be back !
Hey... that might make a cool saying in a movie ~;-)

Alright, alright. I admit, I was very drunk last night. I actually woke up with my almost empty bottle duct taped to my hand. That is right, I fucking taped the bottle to my hand. The kicker is that I still was drunk. The hangover didn't come until I was driving to work. Fuck yeah, no cutting today, just consultations. My internal clock is awesome.
And I did not converse with anything as far as my memory goes. Maybe the bottle a little. I blame the World Cup for my behavior. If you'd stop calling it football I'd be fine again.
So, to conclude, I had no idea what I was saying, but I'll hang around for now. For you.

I just got back from the DMV to renew my driver's license. I've got this big stupid grin in my picture because... there were Emo's afoot.
There were two of them, with their father, and one of them was taking the written portion of his learner's permit exam. Flat shoes, girl pants, gaudy and cheap jewelry, tight shirt, and that stupid haircut that makes you look like a pretentious ass when you have to flip it out of your eyes every few seconds to see anything. Oh, and he failed the test miserbly. It was everything I could do to keep from going "Don't cry, Emo kid...."
As soon as I got my license, I exited the building as soon as I could.

Wait, the written test to get temps? If it's still as easy as the one I took a few years ago, you'd have to be retarded to fail.
Of course, if someone has hair covering their eyes 80% of the time I don't want them driving in the first place.

I can't say anything, because I failed my learner's permit test the first time I took it, too. I just missed it by one question, though... this guy missed well over half of his.

Oh yeah, I remember if you accidentally got one of the sign questions wrong that was an automatic failure, but I can't imagine missing over half the questions. They where just so obvious you would would have to try to miss that many.

Moving sucks. Being without internet for a week might actually suck more.
And I get to do it again... as soon as I find a job.
Yep, job searching sucks the most.
sigh
And I don't even have any good pictures of food to post. :(
well, I do, but everyone here has seen them already.

The bacon didn't actually perform as well as I had hoped - apparently my smoker won't actually produce smoke below a certain temperature, and the bacon needed to be done lower than that temperature. I pulled it out and carved the bones off, and they're in the stock pot now to make soup stock. I'm still going to slice it, and it looks like it will still be tasty, just not as smoky as I wanted.
I turned the temp up on the smoker and smoke is now pouring out of it, so I decided to toss a couple of fresh apples in to cook up. Smoked fruit is something I wanted to experiment with anyway.

I think that'll turn out BETTER, apples in particular smoke well with bacon.

I failed my learner's permit test the first time too. I only failed it by three points though. Went back the next day and passed though. What was strange was that when I moved to Ohio and had to surrender my Pennsylvania license, I had to take another learner's permit test. I can kinda understand why because their laws are kinda out there (Left turn on red? OK!) but I passed because I studied. Fortunately when I returned to Pennsylvania I didn't have to take a test and my info was still in the system. Protip: Your driver's license number stays the same when you switch states. That's how we track people at the library who don't pay their fines.\
Also attended a wedding yesterday. I haven't been to very many, or at least the majority of the ones I attended, I was too young to remember.

Fuck. My car's a/c is busted. It blew cool, sometimes too cool, air on Friday, but it died in the middle of my trip back from Pittsburgh today. What made it worse is that I was backed up in traffic due to an accident on the interstate thanks to some fuckhead driving southbound in the northbound lanes.
I'm guessing it's a leak because it cooled before but I am scared of what it'll cost.

On top of that, I hear that a friend of mine was in an accident where she broke her foot and her car was totaled. Another friend was in an accident with similar circumstances last week--rear ended and pushed into the car in front of them. That friend was in the car with her mom, and her mom broke her wrist. Both friends are on painkillers. All this is starting to freak me out, especially since if I had been on the interstate earlier that day that accident there could have been me.

probably a lot
my van hasn't had a/c in over a year and I'm planning on driving from new england to florida when I move so my dad is taking it in. We also noticed that the coolant was practically empty! Hope there isn't a leak there. Hopefully they can fix the a/c and the coolant is just...low because I never look in the engine area?

What's so difficult about your part of the bargain? A human being isn't coming out of your vag-ga-gee...
Heck, you may be ambivalent to your niece or nephew and nonexistent (if you wanted to.)
Otherwise, it's really simple.
Play with dolls with your niece...
Toss the ball to the nephew.
And talk to them every so often.
My favorite thing with my niece is to bake, while watching chick flicks. It's been a wonderful experience, and I just got to know her barely maybe... 5 years ago? Still... we stuck now.

Would I be evil if I invested in BP? Their stock has dropped 50% since the spill, but the financial fundamentals of the company haven't really changed. I think it's an opportunity to make a few bucks in the short term.
